    Anybody have a size 58 Rook Scout lying around? Will gladly take it. 🫣 Don't have the finances for a new one now, busy moving to a new house!🤬 I did it the wrong way around, bikes first, buying a new house comes second.

    Yes, this. I usually buy new wheel sets from my LBS for around 3-4k. Those are the sets they take from new bikes, when the buyer want something else.

    Although a boot carrier worked great for me, I eventually got a platform rack and it is just way better and easier to use.

    DO NOT OPEN THE BOOT WITH THE RACK ON (also, car model dependant).

    I traveled from Kimberley to Capetown and back more than once. No problems.

    I would think the most weight goes on the lower arms and the upper straps.

    Mine was on the glass, never had a crack. I'm not saying it can't happen, but it's designed that way.

    I used a Buzzrack rack on hatchbacks and sedans. Worked on most of them without any problem. Used it for 1000's of kms. IT DOES NOT WORK ON ALL MODELS, like my Ford Kuga. Also clean the part of the car where the rack is fitting, as dust and dirt between the rack and the car can damage the paintwork. Also, do not try more than two bikes. Two bikes works fine. Mine had place for four bikes, but I would never try it.

    I might be wrong, but I think it is only when you are a pro rider.

    And the T&C's with the R1 cover from KP states that you have R1 cover until your first bike related claim, then it goes up to a normal premium. Claim wisely.

    The only problem I had with cages/bottles was like 20-25 years ago when I was poor (still in school) and I used the cheap aluminum cages. They punctured the bottles after a while. Since then, I had a couple of combos and never gave it any thought. Some lasts longer than others. I enjoyed the Elite cages I got for free somewhere. After them, I got side entry cages, because I had a dual susp bike at some stage. Since then, I have been using them. I think they are Syncros and I use whatever cheap bottle I get with goodie bags. Maybe I am just lucky.

    I miss my Giant XTC, but my current Rapide Tigre is way better.
