  1. I have a Reba 100mm and I want to replace it with a Z2 120mm.
  2. I know a shop that sells AliExpress items for almost the same price as the name brand items. I found that out when I inquired about a price on a chain ring. Maybe it is the same quality, maybe not. Edit: I source my own products and I let the LBS fit it, that way I know what I buy.
  3. A bit off topic. I bought a pair of Assos bibs, did one ride and sold them again. They were just killing me. Probably me and the bibs that's not compatible.
  4. I saw that a couple of days ago and I added it to my favorites list.
  5. A nice HT can't compare to a DS. You can take some of the harshness out of your ride.
  6. Lekker wide tyres and a nice steel frame together make a soft(ish) ride.
  7. I do rides over 100km, quite often. I can't really say what the difference is, the last time I rode a DS was in 2021, I think. I am just used to a steel HT with 100mm travel.
  8. The fun factor is the number one reason by far. Second reason, the creaking pivots made me crazy (maintanance). It's nice (comfortable) to ride a DS, but I enjoy a HT way more.
  9. I had two dual susp bikes and I sold both, stuck with my ht.
  10. Keep you bike, get a second wheel set with slicks for the commute.
  11. Which one to buy, or not to buy, and why? I'm no gravel expert. Price is pretty much the same. https://titanracingbikes.com/bikes/switch-ltd-edition/ or https://www.cannondale.com/en-za/bikes/road/gravel/topstone-alloy/topstone-2
  12. Shoot! I wanted to be the expert for once and give the correct advice about the chain being to long, but I'm to late now.
  13. I once made the mistake of asking my wife what the colour of my bike is. She did not know and I told her that I can now buy new bikes and she would not notice. Know she knows exactly what I ride. Stupid me!!!😭
  14. I've been walking there in the forest about 3 weeks ago, very sandy/dusty (easy to slip). Just above the forest to the houses, there was one or two spots that was not good at all.
  15. I don't really now how to explain this, but Bottelary feels more natural. Longer trails/roads. Where I come from, we ride farm roads and not trails. I am used to farm roads, so I feel more at home there. Tyberberg feels more like a bike park, which is enjoyably, up to a point. Remember, it's personal preference.
  16. I must confess, I got lost twice.
  17. Didn't do Upper this time, but have been up there a couple of times.
