  1. Sorry if I offended you ????
  2. So I can rob your house and it’s fine if I don’t get caught there and then?
  3. My garmin workouts and my Apple Watch workouts go towards vitality points. So if I am cycling outside I use garmin and get the points that way. If I am indoors I use the apple watcj and get the points that way as Zwift doesn’t get you points. Sometimes when I cycle outside I use my Apple Watch (commuting, shopping etc) to record as there’s no point shifting the garmin every five minutes, however these days I generally forget to start the Apple Watch workout outdoors.
  4. No no no - this thread has cost me a small fortune already. Now I’m looking at a saw I’d never heard of before. My loving wife has been very patient with me, but I doubt her patience would run to another saw at this stage [emoji23].
  5. So, having bought a Makita battery brush cutter a few weeks back and loving it, I bought a Makita Battery chainsaw. I was inspired by seeing some pine trees on the side of the road that had been felled and left, so I bought the saw and went this morning to recover some wood. Brilliant saw - batteries run for about 45 mins. Used one set of batteries per trailer load.
  6. I’m going to stick one under my road bike saddle. Never been worried about these but on our new house, bikes will be stored outside in the shed.
  7. It’s fairly simple. Just follow the steps in the link I shared. If you are then still struggling let me know and I’ll get someone to send you mire info.

  9. Nothing - Dave just doesn’t like them [emoji23]
  10. You open strava, click on the link and it automatically imports it, once you’ve set it up. Literally takes about 5 seconds per workout
  11. Same over here. You need to use the workout app on the watch to get your vitality points. It only takes a moment to import the watch workouts into strava after you’ve done them. I tend to use my Garming for long rides, but the watch is also great.
  12. It’ll give you a location anywhere in the world as long as someone with an iPhone passes by it at some stage.
  13. Interesting vid
  14. Pretty pleased with mine so far, although it’s not particularly scratch resistant on a set of keys .
  15. Thanks - they appear to be very popular in Silicon Valley as well, which is pretty hilly. I like the simple look, but maybe I am just channeling my inner hipster
  16. Thanks - it’s from Holland.
  17. Finance a bike if it brings you pleasure and you can afford it. I hate financing and it eats away at me if I owe for something I don’t need, but that’s my problem, not anyone else’s. My good mate finances all his toys and doesn’t lose a moments sleep over it. In the last 5 years he’s bought a ghost e-MTB, a gravel bike and an enduro bike, all on finance. He can afford it, he loves the bikes and doesn’t stress. Good luck to him. Having said that, 0% interest offers don’t hurt either. If the OP wants to finance a bike and live in a shack, good for him if it makes him happy. If he wants to finance a bike because he has massive investments that he can’t touch, also good for him.
  18. Our new house has no way to approach it without climbing a massive hill, regardless of which direction you’re coming from, so I am considering an ebike for commuting and shopping trips etc as I am reluctant to have to take a step backwards and buy another car and want to be able to shoot out to the shops and not be a sweaty mess when I get home. I came across vanmoof.com a few weeks ago and am really intrigued. I like the simplicity, the look and the cool tracking and anti theft features. The option to pay a bit more at purchase and get a team hunting down my bike if it’s stolen is pretty cool as well. I can’t find anyone locally who has one and there are no shops in Ireland who stock them (they have concept stores in major cities), so I would have to buy blind, but am reassured by the fact that the likes of Apple have partnered with them to support tracking through the find my app. Just wondering if anyone has experience of these bikes and could offer some real world feeedback. https://www.vanmoof.com/en-GB
  19. Different tech. The air tag uses all the phones (regardless of who owns them) in the vicinity of your airtag to track your item. The tracking on an iPad etc will depend on it being connected to the internet. This is the most comprehensive explanation that I have seen. https://youtu.be/DEbm2iG1TNU
  20. Oh dear - prepare for lots of advice that you didn’t ask for
  21. Probably not a bad idea to check before you enter if you can use your bike.
  22. Not sure - was in to do click and collect on the other stuff and they had the saws on special at the counter so I just picked one up. Edit: just checked online and it seems to be blue and yellow normally
  23. From a UK chain - Screwfix
  24. Slowly rebuilding my tool collection. Picked these up today.
