  1. Sorry for asking this here, but how much do these frames go for? Was checking around the other night at bikes and dreaming and planning what I will buy me once I am done studying and working, and I think I might have just decided on the Cotic Solaris.
  2. This threads needs more muscle like this:
  3. Man, not Klapperkop my favourite spot to cycle to and back home. No, please don't do this to us you bastards, leave :'(
  4. Looking good, what bugs me is that the content isn't centered. But nothing major. Mind me asking who does your web and so on?
  5. Damn, a little bit of bad luck I would say. Nice of the people to sit with you
  6. Very cool device, and some great use of technology. These people are just getting smarter by the day.
  7. Bmx and walk, that is what I did since grade 1.
  8. I think if you are just going to casually ride and so, you can go with the 29er they roll easier and is generally better at handling longer distances because they roll easier, in general normal riding. I would go with the 29er, they just ride smoother and easier. But this might just be my opinion.
  9. I have also read something somewhere about the general difference in teeth, but not sure what it was might be onto something here. Maybe just release the cable, and reset your limit screws make sure they are good, make sure that the clearance of your biggest ring and front derailleur is also correct, as in how close the cage of the derailleur is to the ring.
  10. Before you bleed the brake, you could also try to burp them. Google it. And you could also try and flip the bike over and press the brake a few times and flip back over on the wheel again and press the brake again. There might just be a little air bubble in there when you pushed back the pistons. Just try and first get rid of it that way, I did this and it worked for me, no need for a bleed.
  11. Your height doesn't really have much to do with your wheel size, it's more about what style of riding are you going to be doing. The most basic way of looking at it is, if you are going to do long and far rides go for a 29er, if you are going to do intense trail riding and want a lot agility and super handling with more confidence then go for the 27,5" but do keep in mind that you can also do some nice trail riding with a 29er, make no mistake. So if you are going to be a in betweener then there is nothing wrong with a 29er.
  12. Yes, that is a good bike to start out on, I don't see any issue with it. The fork is nice and the rear derailleur is also nice, makes it stand out in your price range. I see no problem with this bike for someone who is just starting out.
  13. Went for a ride at like 11:30 up at my local trail here in Magalies berg, and it felt like I had training wheel on my bike or something, at times it really went super slow like half the speed I usually get. But, I don't mind. I quite like the challenge.
  14. Really sad and scary at the same time, I hope that your stolen goods will return safely to your arms soon. I hope the okes who did this give birth to a big roll of barbwire.
  15. Well done!
  16. Man what a huge bummer, at a race even not cool.
  17. The original price was R2500 for it all but then we came to the agreement for R2200 so that I can help the guy out with courier fee, which I really don't mind. I really hope they do! But I feel like this thing is bulletproof now, haha.
  18. Hi and welcome to a somewhat ghetto thread. I am selling a couple of things and have to get it packaged because it has to go to Cape Town which is pretty far from Pretoria. So I started scavenging for a few things at home, and this is what I came up with and it's pretty neat and tight. Use some wrapping plastic almost like Glad Wrap, Cable Ties, Cardboard and double sided tape. Cardboard and nice thick double sided tape was used for padding. I was surprised how tight and safe this whole thing turned out to be.
  19. Man that was some really entertaining action right there all the way from Greg's run!
  20. Hi, hello and welcome. I would just like to dedicate this thread to the people over at sportsworld.co.za and their really great service not only with their sales but their support as well. I have made 3 orders from them and every time it was really good and smooth. The first time there was a mess up with my package but the people at the post office was a little bit confused and sportsworld went ahead and sorted this mess out for me. After that order, I just leave a comment on my order telling them to double check the with post office and I have never had the same issue. Thanks for the good service and reasonable prices.
  21. Gee's bail didn't look that bad or serious, but his shoulder took a beating.
  22. You stole my content, I will have my revenge admin, haha. No but seriously, I think these are all awesome and would take them all, and win Critical Mass.
  23. Hey fellow Hubbers Check this strange but weirdly cool... bicycle destruction derby? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfgdtV0roo0 http://singletrackwo...the-bikemonger/
  24. TheHub is indeed the shizznizz, I have received tons of help here and also there is always something cooking somewhere which will be either a good read or view (Ladies & Bicycles ).
