  1. A friend of mine who has a Giant WSD Anthem thats only a year old, got a surprise when she washed her bike on Friday. The weld at the bottom of the seatpost is cracked all around where the top tube is linked. Has anybody else had this problem? I believe the Giant dealers in SA dont have a spare frame, and she is doing the Sani2c soon. Konaman2010-02-17 14:45:04
  2. Use racing ralphs on front and back for epic.
  3. What is the best way to travel on SAA with your mtb?. Use a bike bag or bubblewrap the fragile parts?

  6. Do you need a special Avid bleeding kit for the Avid Elixer CR brakes, or can you use the one used for Avid Juicy brakes?
  7. We have 3x Garmin 705's in our family and its great but the maps are not essential. One day when the race organisers catch a wake up and start to load Garmin routes on their websites, then it will become a fantastic gadget. Till then, you will mainly use it for the other features.
  8. OR would you go for the jugular vein and leave the opponent for dead? http://kevinevansracing.blogspot.com/2010/01/mtn-barberton-ultra-marathon-2.html read the whole story From his blog The final action between Burry and I came in the final kilometer when a fun rider crashed Burry into the pavement! At this stage I immediately sat up and waited for him, it wouldn?t have felt right to attack someone under those circumstances, and to have a fair sprint with him as I?m sure he?d have done the same for me.
  9. when will it be available?
  10. You should look at quality of their work before you judge them. This is very unfair i think. The courier services in this country is not always reliable. I have always had superior service from them.
  11. After 2 solid months of trying to register, many calls, i think i must rather emigrate to the USA or Australia and then try and get membership from their cycling associations. This is total incompetence !!!!!!!!!!! They dont seem to know how to fix old problems on the system that originate from Dec 2008 already. I have a son that does the MTN - miway National MTB half marathon races, and I cant get him registered. My son has 3 profiles on the system and they cant fix it. Should i try and bribe somebody there to help me? What do you think? Konaman2010-01-25 12:54:03

  19. Its your choice who you go to. I suggest you ask the doctor what is his/her estimated cost before the procedure or consultation is done. Will you have your car's engine replaced without finding out what it will cost? Negotiate with the doctor beforehand. The anesthetists are especially a problem as most of them don't charge medical aid rates. Ask the surgeon doing the procedure where you can contact the anesthetists, to find out about the rates they charge. Most doctors will drop the rates if you chat to them beforehand.
  20. A friend of mine has a Raleigh RM 9 mtb carbon frame. Its the red and black model and is in a mint condition. What should i offer him?Pls help
  21. go to tacx website
  22. Chain reaction cycles; No i dont think its worth having the steerer. If I knew then what i know now, i would not have bought it. If they create new programs that makes it more realistic, then yes but for now, it just a hazzle i feel. The Tacx Trainer GPS 1.1 software is an absolute must; It has so many training features, that you dont get on the standard software with the trainer. I had to do quite a few updates through the internet so far, to get up to date with version 1.3.
  23. Got mine from CRC at about 4k cheaper including 4 training dvd's and Catalyst software + steerer, within 7 days after payment
  24. You need special software called Tacx Trainer software 1.1 to do this. I am not sure if your Garmin can save the files in the normal route format.
  25. Anybody using this feature with Tacx Catalyst software? Its great as you can load any race from your Garmin on the trainer software, and it similates the whole route for you while pedalling. Got mine this weekend and its magic. I need the Garmin files of the major races now. Konaman2009-11-23 14:26:01
