  1. Hoekom het jy nie gevra vir die "groot baas" se tel nr nie? Dis wat jy behoort te gedoen het voor jy "public" gaan. Die "indians" kort seker net 'n lekker wakker skrik vanaf 'n dizzy height!!!
  2. I have been riding with Stans and various Maxxiss tyres - Mimo's ; TT's and Crossmarks for years now - No problems to date. Konaman2009-11-11 13:43:48
  3. When asking a friend of mine (he does not "hub") where is his Garmin 305 today when we were doing a ride, he said that during the OFM classic last weekend it switched off 5 times by itself. Is that a common problem? I think its just out of guarantee. Will it be costly to repair?
  4. WE tried 3 UST type tyres - Kenda; Hutshinson andShwalbe Racing Ralphs; Only Larsons TT fitted on it. Also had Hope 2's; Stay away;WE damaged the 1 rim eventually; Build it then over onto Mavic 819 rims
  5. Is it worth buying the Tacx T1900 iMagic trainer? Want to use it as a "trainer" most of the time, but also do some courses here and there when i feel like it. Anybody that has a 2nd hand one to sell?
  6. South Africans will save billions in electricity bills, if we can change the clock back 2 hours during the summer. 5am now, will become 7am in the morning then. You will probably go to bed soon after its dark. This will also assist Eskom who is battling to provide enough electricity for the country. Just imagine if you can knock off 2 hours earlier everyday, from work! I know what i will be doing until its dark. How can we ordinary South Africans get it implemented? Konaman2009-11-03 14:22:17
  7. Get a bike that can take a water bottle cage - not Ibis It should be below 10kg - go for Scott Spark or Spezialised if u can. XC has lots of ups and downs - need to be light
  8. 27.2mm but confirm
  9. Do you talk to much about cycling when among friends or cycling buddies? Konaman2009-10-18 14:02:49
  10. The AC are value for money if you want a light set of wheels. The rims are a little bit soft - can easily bend if you hit a rock - happened to my son not to long ago. The bearings are very smooth. Somebody told me that the Spinergy wheels flex to much Konaman2009-10-17 14:03:35
  11. I have the Manitou R7 MRD Absolute fork which is about 1.26 kg. My weight is 82kg. Its the best fork I have ever had. The Lockout has +- 6 clicks that makes it stiffer, as you turn it. My only problem is that the front wheel tends to lift up when doing steep hills, as the fork is incredibly light.. As long as you get the pressure right for your weight, i will recommend it to anybody. Have had it for 18 months, with nou problems. Had it recently serviced and will not change to anything else. My previous Sid spend more time in the workshop, than on my bike. Konaman2009-10-17 12:34:00
  12. Being in the medical field, i get a lot of friends asking me advice when they have cycling related injuries and what they should do. In recent days I have had 2 chaps with an identical problem. They get a nerve related pain that originates between the testes and anus, and it then moves down the 1 leg. It sometimes gets so bad that they cant sit and the leg feels lame. Are there other persons with a similar problem and what did you? They have changed saddles and stopped for a while, but it always returns. A neurologist mentioned that you can get permanent damage and then "jakop regop" will never be the same.
  13. I heard somewhere that KCNC has a bracket
  14. I urgently need a disc bracket for my XTR model 975 IS to Manitou R7 Absolute post mount fork; Anybody that can help?
  15. Are you now a weight weenie JB?
  16. what is your height?
  17. I was looking at the entries received for the Sabie Experience the end of the year. Burry and Cherise will make a good mixed team.
  18. I deal with sick people daily, and is not convinced that these vitamins and boosters do work. Eat your salads, fruit and veggies; sleep enough; get exercise; live healthy - avoid coffee, tea (only rooibos allowed), coke, to much fatty foods or any unhealthy food or to much of it. etc etc Just about everybody got flu in the last 2 months, and most of those people are taking plenty of "tablets" to stay healthy.
  19. Sidewalls are hopeless to thin. Cut like paper. Rather use the non-tubeless larson TT's or crossmark.
  20. If you train for 3 hours at a fast pace, then you can also repeat it in a race. You need to identify your weak points first, and then work on it, ie climbing or technical stuff if you want to go fast. Race the hills if you are slow at it.
  21. Get DT Swiss Revolution spokes. Find out size before u buy

  23. Its nice to have another website but i still think it would be better if it can be on the hub, where people can discuss it etc. My other concern is that we add the maps and maybe in a few months you start to charge for it? Perhaps for now admin can setup a link to it.Konaman2009-09-09 09:05:56
  24. I wish admin can start a section on the hub where everybody can upload/download favourite Garmin 705 routes/maps.
  25. Is there anybody that has the Hell&Back Garmin 705 files for day 1 and 2 for me. Want to do race later this yr.
