Remind me again, what does this membership do for you?

These situations make my blood boil so now that i have given some thought, here are my questions and suggestion. The usual: where are our cycling representatives ie PPA, CSA and who ever in City Management? Once again they are failing at doing nothing. Lately its seems all the major cycling bodies make money for doing very little. Suggestion: These things take time so start by organising an awareness drive. If possible find one of the cycling bodies to assist (make sure you a paid up member first as that will be the responding query). Park bikes or stand in the cycling lanes at these spots and hand out pamphlets. Make transgressors aware of their mistakes and possible penalties. We need to make alliances with cars and trucks, not enemies. Hand out think bike stickers, free rehydrates, water bottles or any cycling related race pack nonsense that will make them feel part of the awesome clan.

Mr Min funiture polish? Works on normal frames and I assume there is a clear coat on carbon too.

This has me a little bit worried. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/127765-freedom-challenge-2013-route-access-issues/page__hl__freedom%20challenge One of the reasons would refer to do the route with someone who knows where they are going. Is it possible to get a map with all the legal dirt\servitude roads. I would like to start planning...especially accom as this will give me an idea of costs and equipment needed.

I would think more like 80 - 100km a day and one day we stay at a particular venue and then do the route reverse back to PMB? What dates you keen for?

I am doing a tool renewal, getting rid of damaged and unsharp tools. I found the new MAKRO to have some nice tools. I got me some new wire cutters and GEDORE screw drivers. Not sure how they comapre to park tools but the range of screwdrivers is more than PT offers. In my tool box (order of most used): Allen Keys (Definitely get a decent set) Screw drivers Side cutters Syringe filled with grease Cassette remover (also used to remove rotors) el cheapo BB tool el cheapo chain whip BBB torque wrench bicycle tool (Sometimes you need 2 of the same size allen keys or you missplace the most coomon sized one) duct tape Clothspaper towel for hand wipes Floor pump is what i also use alot and need to invest in a goodnew one soon.

After reading the thread about dodgy hubbers I realised I was not going to be in good light if the police came around and wanted original pruchase certificates or whetever. I have 4 bikes outside, 2 bikes in boxes in my room, 1 frame in Garage, another hanging in my room. I also have spares coming out of my ears. Last night however i had no more clean WARM cycling kit to commute with and had to use a normal jacket to ride with. Need more winter stuff...
