  2. I am using the cable from KNOG. its got a nice rubbery lining around the whole cable and eyes. I am sure this will suffice. I have the bosal which has those locks on but still run the cable through the bikes and then use one of those round lock jobs. http://www.bikesdirectonline.com.au/product/knog-ringmaster-cable-22 They also come with locks.
  3. Can you tell us about colours available or do we have to wait?
  4. Any idea of price of the frame?
  5. While meeting my commuting buddies this morning I was crossing Otto du Plessis at Woddbridge island (coming from Koeberg). There was a car turning to drive into town and a car behind that which I couldnt work out what they were doing so I didnt go forward like I was supposed to. As I strated applying pressure to the pedal to go forward a screeching taxi doing about 80 came flying, swerving, smoking through the cars. He jumped the robot at such a speed that he would definitely have killed me if i were a few seconds ahead. He miraculously missed all the cars (I still dont know how). Had he connected anyone then there would have been serious injuries. Stay safe out there chaps!!!
  6. Why has MAXXIS IKON not been mentioned. Heard they are pretty good. http://forums.mtbr.com/29er-bikes/maxxis-ikon-672559.html http://twentynineinches.com/2011/06/28/maxxis-ikon-29er-tires-on-test/ Here are some things Maxxis has to say about the Ikon 29″er version……….. “The Ikon is for true racers looking for a true lightweight race tire. With 3C Triple Compound Technology, high-volume casing and a fast rolling tread design, the Ikon provides exemplary performance in all riding conditions. As its name suggests, the Ikon represents all that is true in racing.” -High-volume, lightweight true racing tire -3C Triple Compound Technology -eXCeption race specification Maxxis offers the Ikon in two versions, both listed as 2.2 inches wide. 29X2.20 ( 57-622 ) Black TPI-120 FOLDABLE 580gm Compound-TRIPLE Max PSI- 65 Tech: eXC/3C/EXO 29X2.20 ( 57-622 ) Black TPI-120 FOLDABLE 520gm Compound-TRIPLE Max PSI- 65 Tech: eXC/3C We’ll delve into more detail on the technology of these tires in our “Out Of The Box” posting. Look for that soon. Also, these tires will also be featured in our upcoming “Micro Knobbie Shoot-Out”, where we will pit several of the newest smaller knobbed treads against each other. In the meantime, check out Maxxis’ site on the Ikon tires here. Note: Twenty Nine Inches purchased this pair of Ikon tires for testing/review. We are not being bribed, nor paid for this review, and we will strive to give our honest opinions throughout.
  7. Easily do-able on a SS. there is only one section that a fork is needed and normally people are pushing so learn to track stand if you want to stay on bike. The transition from bike to run is something i need to start practicing for...as soon as I learn to swim in a washing machine.
  8. You doing the Lite or Full?

  20. Been riding along Bosmansdam and have had loads of issues this week with cars narrowly missing my front wheel by turning sharply. The lady was turning into the petrol station by driving fast and then cutting in front of me turning in.
