    It is rather frustrating when you wave at someone and they give you the "I would run you over with my car" look... and carry on riding like you didnt just wave at them....

    Thanks All, I do agree the rest of the pics does clearly have weld lines. My references where specially only to gallery photos further down the page which showed a close up of the bottle cage in the front triangle. None the less, exciting if they do have this 2nd bottle mount for the AC. Many sources with various answers.. I am optimistic...

    Not on this photo indicating the double bottle cage, which is listed in thier AC gallary. You can see where the top tube meets the down tube. Further the suspension pivot mount on the down tube. You can also tell on the upright tube the carbon fiber lap lines, I have the same ones on my Spec StumpJumper Carbon HT. In my opinion, and I could be wrong, but this is a carbon bike... Which would match up with the feedback I got from Momsen prior to this review being posted.

    P.S... I looked at that link, a bit blind from Momsen for putting that photo up as you can see thats the carbon front triangle and not the Alloy one (No welding lines...)

    Thanks for the feedback team, looking forward to what they say... Its a bit silly to have the AC NOT have the dual bottle cage, that to me is a HUGE plus to this bike. I dont like backpacks, and sticking bottles in my back pockets.. My only drawing card to an Epic, which I cant afford as they are ridiculously over priced for what you get...

Not so sure this is correct, I mailed Momsen asking specifically about this and they said it was not included in the AC version of the frame. You can even see in the photos as well that they dont have the bolt holes on the upright of the front triangle to be able to attach their special adapter for the additonal bottle holder... Having said this, amazing looking bike!!

    Lots of "quotes," and some grammar not being used correctly here... For a forum on such a drive to enforce T&C's and deliver quality content, its strange that a "news" related post could be posted with such bad proofing beforehand.

    unless you go for X1 instead of XX1 or XO1.. Its still not SUPER cheap but its way more affordable than others.

    If you dont want them on your trails make sure there are plenty of water crossing... the deeper the better...

    Ok I must agree with you there as well!! Many have said that before. But for me, I dont have a lot of expendable cash and put whatever I can into cycling which means I sometimes have to opt for the lesser spec components for now, and wait for the XX1 to come a bit more main stream affordable and buy that then. I see they have started with the X1 already which comes in a tiny BIT less than the full XX1.

    Firstly I am a Specialized Fan... Own one... Have said this before, and I am sure will get tuned again like before.. but no amount of R&D can justify that kind of a price... Even the top spec frames are all molded in the far east, and might be finished/assembled somewhere fancy... But you take an entry level car, with more engineering, manufacturing, materials, labor, larger shipping distribution costs, etc than an Epic and comes in cheaper or the same price as an Epic..... Something is not adding up... Only reason I would go Epic Carbon Expert is for the Brain in both back and front, otherwise the Carbon Comp would be plenty fine.. Rest of the components you can change out to your preference and latest spec as desired..

    Are we talking about the hardtail or soft? Because I paid just shy of 30k for my 2014 Stumpjumper Comp Carbon but the hardtail... Amazing bike, and loving it...

    Ok cool thanks, will just go back to the specialized shop and have them change the bearings... normally a 10 mim job... I do regularly take crank off, clean and re grease...

    stick to it... just because the scale stays the same doesn't mean you are not losing... Take measurement and also get you body fat checked, that is where you will be losing.... Been on it for 2.5 weeks and after 2 weeks checked, down 3% body fat from when I started.... If you want to burn more fat add in at least 3 to 4 sessions of HIIT training as well first thing in the morning before you eat, I prefer the Tabata style training...

    Please share these home made tools... I take my crank off regularly to clean old grease and dirt out and reassemble with new grease.. But dont have a bearing puller and dont want to hammer things out... Looking forward to your feedback. Kind Regards, Tim

    Just wanted to give a Rave to the shop as well.... Dropped my bike off last Thursday with a few issues before a training session the following day in the afternoon as well as a race on Saturday... Given everyone else probably did the same thing, I spoke with the guys and asked them if they could assist with my bike urgently... They got it back to me in the specified time and bike worked great.     Just an update.. I looked at the clutch last night, that tab is not broken.. I did however increase the tension and I can feel it more now... Will have to test... I also remeasured the chain over a 12 inch distance and it measured 12-1/16" from center of pin to center of pin which means its done for... Will get a new chain and take it from there to see how it goes in terms of the other problems I am having... Once I have enough money I will swap shifter and rear derailleur out. Thanks for all the help thus far.

    Thank you both, will have a look tonight... I am also sure I will change the chain end of this month (Pay Day) and see if improvements... But will have the shop checkout the hanger as well...
