  1. So I got myself a Recon Stealth helmet from CRC paid R886 (includes DHL shipping). Do I pay a further 25% on the purchase amount when it is delivered?
  2. Helmets still at 25% import duty?
  3. How do they justify that?
  4. Ok, a real noob question but I haven't tried this before! I need to figure out how to replace the chain if it snaps or get's buggered up on my bike using the "Power Lock" on my SRAM PC 1031 chain. How does the Power Lock work? Do I still use a chain tool? Do I need to remove links on the new chain so that it is the same length as my current one or is a standard size?
  5. +1
  6. Can those who have done the Berg and Bush before please give us newbies some info on the logistics (see questions above) Thanx!

  10. So, I want to take friends and family (some beginners) for a ride at Rietvlei Nature Reserve (Pretoria) and have a braai afterwards over the long weekend coming up. A few questions (from anyone who have been there lately) : Have the trails expanded since May (judging from Craig's post above)? Is it safe to ride there? Is the R10 extra to the entrance fee? What is entrance fee? Are there braai facilities there?

  23. Saw the insert on Super Cycling of Hanli Prinsloo on the "Yoga for Cyclists DVD" ... thought I'd give it a bash on the ol' thread
  24. I am currently doing yoga classes (on my third session). I feel great! I have lower back issues, but after a yoga session it's gone + I can gradually feel improvement in my back, but it is still early days. After a hectic day it is also the perfect way of getting the mind & body relaxed and focused. Funny how quickly it picked up in the last month or two, articles in newspapers, websites, features on Super Cycling (Hanli Prinsloo), DVD's on yoga for cyclists etc. etc. It's not a quick fix, but you will definitely benefit from it after a couple of months and in the long run (you can do yoga daily as well). I am sad that I didn't start with it sooner! And I am also the only guy in the class DO IT!
  25. How does the logistics work for this event? Do we pack our kit in a container and then it get's shuttled to Emseni camp on the first day and dropped off at the finish on the last day? Any tips for packing or any other info from those who has done this event before? I read on another thread that newspapers work well for drying wet shoes etc.
