  1. it's an awesome venue with good food - did a trail run event there. Also want to try out the mountain bike trail, maybe this long weekend....
  2. The routes must be shared. (so when you search for a route it should appear in the list. Madvics - you only shared Voortrekker 5, the other two are not available for download. But thanks anyway! In Endomondo, go to "Routes". Search on the map or type in the route. (See pic 1) Click on the route. At the bottom of the route map, there should be a "Download to phone" link. Click on this. (see pic 2) Now on your mobile, Click on "Workout / Choose Workout". Select the "Follow a Route". In here should the track be listed that you just downloaded. Hope this helps..
  3. Aaahhh.... EPIC fail
  4. how many entries were available for early bird?
  5. Is the MTN Bike Park open this long weekend?? Can't find any info on their website...
  6. After 2 weeks with the new front tyre & a new Stan's rim strip with valve, there is still air escaping when I inflate the tyre above 2.1 psi + tyre also does not run true. I have none of these problems on the rear tyre.
  7. Is it a Fox Float RP-2 XV?
  8. LBS had to redo the rim strips + they mixed some blue stuff with the stan's to make it seal properly. I was instructed to take it for a ride this afternoon...... what a mission...
  9. The hand/foot pump get's me nowhere - air escaping from the loose tyre. The CO2 bomb pops it up quickly, the rest of inflation is normal air by hand pump.
  10. I use a CO2 bomb to inflate - tyre was also a Race King Foldable. What I don't understand, what do the guys at the bike shops do differently??
  11. WHY is it such a mission to change a tubeless tyre!!! AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! I fitted a new Conti Race King to the front (already got one at the back). Removed the old tyre, took some of the hardened Stan's sealant off the rim, fitted the new tire, poured two cups of new Stan's sealant & inflated. For the past 6 days every morning when I check on the tyre it is flat!!! I have also done two rides with it, only to return home earlier due to the tire going flat. Last night I inflated it above 2.2 and heard a pop sound, thought it is now seated correctly on the rim and also checked in a tub of water for any leaks.... FOUND NONE! This morning I was greeted with another flat !!!!!!!!!! I'm taking it in to my LBS this morning - what do you do when you are in a stage race or in a race??
  12. I submitted our details to be put on the waiting list - so we are not guaranteed an entry?? No! How the hell do you even get into these stage races in the first place? We are so looking forward to this event - even started with a training program, my buddy wants to buy a new bike etc. etc. now this news Were so psyched about it
  13. According to the website : " Entries to all 3 events open 1st June at 10h00 2012 for previous entrants with their original partners. Entries open on 15th June 10h00 2012 for new riders."
  14. So, I am waiting patiently for the entries to open for this event! Will be me & my partner's first stage race We are planning to do the 'Descent' If you have tips & info about this event please share them here.... Thanx!

  16. My wife told me - she checks everything we chow, especially if it's GM. Her source was also the internet. I told her it will then have to be only GM food I eat if there isn't a better alternative that makes me feel good as this stuff.....
  17. I found out yesterday that FutureLife tested positive for 100% GM (genetically modified) maize What now, I use it on a daily basis and for events? http://www.scenicsou...ontent-in-food/ Follow these links and you will see what I mean by GM foods: http://www.theatlant...d-foods/251051/ http://naturalsociet...modified-foods/ http://www.ethicalco...-Food-the-risks
  18. I wonder if it's too late at my age (31) to try out the sport? I think downhillers are awesome - pushing the limits and showing us what you are capable of doing....big cahoona's
  19. If I trow a 140mm on my Fuel Ex 7, should that help as a first step to make it more "all-mountain-ish"? I don't want to worry about small drop-off's & jumps. Ideally a Slash would be sufficient, do you think the Fuel EX would take the punishment?
  20. When do you guys ride? I want to come and have a look! Didn't even know about this place!
  21. Where is 139 Waterkloof?????
  22. My 2cents.... I rode a Trek 4300 (2008) for 4 years - and that thing was as tough as nails. Had the V-brake version, and RockShox Dart 2 forks. Did a lot of Groenkloof trails & local races. I recently upgraded to dual susp. but can truly say that my Trek was an awesome bike. I still got the bike and want to build it up with some nicer components, tubeless conversion etc. as an extra bike. I didn't really worry about the weight back then - but think the newer one's are lighter - I think? Anyways - take all of them for a test ride and make a descision. Njoy...
