  1. I'll have to kiss 3000 points in one go goodbye. There's no ways that I'll manage a 3.5hr+ ride at 80% of max and I don't do any those events. Seems they pushing events though. A 50 -99km cycling event at any intensity = 600 points Alternatively, 1.5hr+ ride at 80% of max. The people that went for the watch based on the current point system might be a bit screwed.
  2. Ironically I also had a Tropical Greens this morning. Now I've had 3, Tropical Greens, Peanut Butter Bomb & Cacao Cream.
  3. So they say: Certain members will see their Vitality Active Rewards goals adjusted to provide them with adequate time to adapt to the new points-earning activities and device updates.
  4. Yip, they've hooked a good few people and now seriously moved the goal posts. Who can ride at 80% for 210 min ? Discovery is taking lessons from the government, eskom, etc
  5. Was wondering when this was going to happen. 3000 points is very easy to get. Majority of cyclists get that on Saturday morning.
  6. Just in case somebody needs some motivation: http://www.channel24.co.za/TV/News/dstv-announces-2016-price-hikes-20160301 http://cdn.24.co.za/files/Cms/General/d/3743/5e7838be54ee49019e075fe4e15fa758.jpg
  7. You can also have a Raw Juice at Kauai, just do this at your own risk. Last year I tried that wheat grass stuff (not at Kauai though) and bloody hell I would have spat it out but I was in a very larnie establishment and they would have probably kicked me out.
  8. I feel you. I got a 39 deg. fever over December while on holiday and it really SUCKED !!! Hope you feel better soon.
  9. I think there's a problem today, I uploaded my ride to Garmin Connect and it still doesn't show on Discovery. Normally it's shows on Discovery pretty quickly (a few minutes).
  10. Bloody hell, 10 rides and I'll reach the cap Should have no cap I've noticed that Discovery has deleted some of my points. I did a jog on the treadmill at the gym for 30 and they saw it as 5000 steps and gave me 50 points. Now that the VA workout has updated, Discovery have given me the 100 points for being at gym but took away the 50 points for my treadmill activity. If this is the case then it kind of sucks. Will have to sneak into the gym if I go do a workout on the Watt Bike.
  11. I'm way behind this year, only at 14k points at this stage and still need 76k to keep my Diamond Status. I've also experienced problems with Discovery uploading info from Strava. Currently I'm uploading to Garmin and MapmyFitness and no problems. With 3000 points per ride I'm going to reach my cap in no time. Then it will be all about the smoothie
  12. That is 1 thing that I still have and hopefully I can continue getting free gym for many, many years to come. Cancelled my Discovery Credit Card a few years ago and hopefully this year I'll get rid of the other one.
  13. @Myles - thanks for the feedback. Going to be interesting when they increase the targets. @Gerald you'll have to train more to get to your target !! (so will all of us) IMO there's no need for the Apple Watch. Discovery have made it really easy by accommodating various devices.
  14. Cyclists are going to be queueing for smoothies / coffee. Even a weekend warrior does a 120+min ride which = 3000 points, so with 1 ride one has reached their target. I wonder how long it will take before they change the rules.
  15. I've collected 3 x smoothies and the 4th will be on Friday I've heard that next year one can even get free flights on Kalula
  16. I think it should. I know the 10spd crank works on the 11spd setup. In theory the 11spd chain is thinner than the 10spd chain and I'm pretty sure that the crank blades are the same width as the 10 spd blades.

Neutral zones are a myth !!!!!
  18. Insurance companies are a bunch of :cursing: :cursing:
  19. So, who's doing 2 laps of the 94.7 this year ???
  20. The old route had about 1200m of climbing. Guess that is this years route, which means an additional 200m of climbing. Still a lot of climbing for 94km.
  21. That will mean that there'll be about 1700m of climbing
