  1. Why aren't you guys post ad's in the classifies for all your 26ers ???? Going to be some real bargains....soon.
  2. That would be a short cut for our taxis.
  3. No need to worry, I've bumped you up to VA !!!!
  4. I'm sure that I read somewhere that Stages only works on aluminium cranks ( ??? ) Hence the lack of availability for Campy.
  5. Where do you do your wattbike sessions ?
  6. I agree with SwissVan. Everybody knows that Power Meters are the way to go but their expense puts many of us off. I think a lot can be achieved using LTHR. Yes there are more accurate ways but as a starting point I think it's a good place to start. Most of us already have HR monitors so there is no additional costs. To the OP: Buy Joe's book. Read it, follow it and you'll improve !!!
  7. This is just too funny  And NO, I had nothing to do with it I'm pretty sure you can get a re-seeding. I'm glad that you considering VB
  8. I see you guys were actually faster than VB this time. Well done!!!
  9. I rode BL and only saw 1 crash which was near the end and caused by those cones. Had plenty hair raising moments though. I was happy to finish safely. A speedy recovery to all those that were involved in crashes.
  10. I'm no scientist but I'd think that if you eat 3-4 hours before a race the food (energy) would have been processed and you'd need another meal. I normally have a meal 1 hour before a race.
  11. How heavy are you ???  Never had a problem with Conti's (road tyres)
  12. Started in Nov 2008 Have had about 9 bikes from then until now. Currently have 4
  13. If you don't ride then it will be pointless. Only relevant if you taking a trip to the North of JHB (and going through a few gantries)
  14. @NotSoBigBen Since you back into road racing, will you be willing to do me a little favour
  15. Campy Eurus wheels - R2k Garmin Edge 500 - R 1400.00
  16. 2 seconds in F1 is a huge difference. If a team is 2 secs off the pace they might as well pack up and go home. I thought that Ferrari had the biggest budget.
  17. Aren't those wheels a little small ???
  18. It also makes a difference if it's Road or MTB. A 136km Road race / ride is much faster than a MTB race / ride. I did 136km ride yesterday with 1 bottle of Game, 1 energy bar, 1 muffin. For a race I'll have a meal replacement shake with some oats a hour before the race, then I'll use 32Gi during the race. Will carry an energy bar but hardly ever use them.
  19. Probably a knock off at that price. That being said don't be fooled by the Chinese kits. I own some and they good enough for 3 - 4hr rides.
  20. You registered for an E-Tag, now suffer the consequences !!!!
  21. I find that 32Gi gives me more energy during the day. If I do a hard 120km ride on a Saturday and use Game then I'm normally buggered in the afternoon and will take a nap but if I use 32Gi I'll be fine in the afternoon and easily make it through the night. I normally race on 32Gi. Last year's 94.7 I used 32Gi as normal and figured that I'd need a bap in the afternoon but I was fine, no nap required. I know that 32Gi only works for some people, luckily I'm one of those people.
  22. @Agteros just add lemon juice Nothing wrong with GAME. Been using it for some time but there's definitely a difference between Game and 32Gi. I can easily do a 2.5hr ride on water (did it this morning).
  23. Me but I still need to get there. Just finished a 70km ride
  24. Anybody who takes their bikes to Cajees deserves what they get. Question is, will you go back ??? BTW as you can read everbody on thehub already knows about Cajees.
