Third Shova I did yesterday and will be back !!! Yesterday was my worst race - ever but it had nothing to do with the organizers. I have a mechanical which made my day a little bit of a nightmare. That being said I did appreciate the support vehicles. There were a few bumpy sections but most races have these. All I wonder is how the guys in Durban / North coast manage to do a 100km (road) ride ????

Was probably me. I stood on the side of the road for 1:40
  3. I'm about 99% sure that your current freebody should work. The spacing is done by the spacers in the cassette and not by the freebody. If you have a 10spd cassette try it out - obviously don't force the lock nut.

Is that the problem ? I thought that I just took longer to warm up :whistling: @Clay There's a sure way to guarantee that you don't get dropped on the 1st climb - ATTACK !!!! @Bronabee Thought you were going to push me since this is your home race. See you tomorrow

  7. @SwissVan - I hope you finding him so that you can train with him. It wont matter what time you train, he'll be on his bike. I did 455km over 2 days a few weeks ago but never had a braai that evening
  8. For me shakes have a place. 1) They convenient 2) They get absorbed by the body a lot quicker I add a scoop of unflavoured whey protein to my carb drink. After a short ride (2hrs) I'll have a glass of chocolate milk (if I remember). After a long ride (4hrs) I'll have a shake with some pronutro. After a race I normally have breakfast with my mates but sometimes Robo-Ox eats everything and I have to have a shake.

1 x sub 2:45 will be good enough for me. But I have faith in your ability and you should easily manage that
  10. Is that like the 29er of pumps ??
  11. I bought a Giant floor pump a few years ago from SW, still pumps but the gauge has given up. For the bike I got a R60 plastic pump which works. How often does one get a puncture ? Not even once a month. But I'm a Roadie
  12. Power Balance Band  I have so much more power now
  13. All for FUN and lots of hub spirit :whistling:
  14. Forty pages summed up in 2 lines  . Since the challenge is only in 12 months time, how many more pages can fill with threats / advise / training plans / k@k ???
  15. At least you going in the right direction !!! Since we almost on page 50, can somebody summarized what happened in the first 40 pages ????
  16. Ja but look at the bike you ride.......
  17. Nobody will be able to keep up with you !!!

  19. It all depends who's riding the bike :whistling:
  20. @Zatek - Racetec is really slow so the results will only be available late this evening or tomorrow. @Robo - sub 3hrs ???

You should challenge yourself, I mean a sub 3 ?? That's nothing for somebody with your talent. A sub 2:45 would be a little more challenging & you'd break a sweat
