Just received my seeding. "A" bunch for me but I'll be dropping to the "B" bunch
  4. In your first post you mention that you have a coach, why don't you ask him ? How old are you ? Your age will impact your HR.

@robox You better get a "B" seeding so u can push & pace me !!!
  6. If you don't want to do the whole Low Gi thing then you can get 32Gi Accelerate which is a high Gi product but brings you "down" slower than other high Gi products.
  7. If I recall correctly your soccer team isn't doing too well. When was the last time they actually won something ??? Suggest you start following Formula 1 !!!!
  8. He didn't take everybody for a fool, many people just choose to believe the bull**it. Now that some of it is out in the open some people are shocked.
  9. That being said, you take your kid there 6 times a week ?
  10. USN is being very defensive (again). IMO - USN is all about making money.
  11. @ Dangle Now I'll quote from the article: "Yes there were people who never did anything, like myself. But how hard is it to be one person to take on an entire system" There now you have it straight from the "horse's mouth" Didn't Lance say the same thing ???
  12. Cannondale (I think)
  13. Buy the Edge 800
  14. I'd suggest to search the web for a site that will tell you what size frame you need. Then go to a bike shop and tell them you looking for a bike, they'll measure you up and also tell you what size frame you'll need. Then they'll show you what they have available, you listen and then tell them that you going to think about it. Both frame sizes should be the same, if not visit another bike shop. Once you know what size you need you can let us know or you can just have a look in the classifieds. Just remember that just about every manufacturer measures their bikes differently. So a Large in this branch might be a Extra Large in another brand. Wheels: you want wheels with lots of spokes but I think the wheels you'll find on a bike of your budget should do.
  15. Your 1st step needs to be a fitment or at least to find out what size you need. There are some websites that can help with this as a starting point. For me the top tube measurement is more important, as some manufactures (like Giant) make very compact frames. A Giant small has a seat tube of 46cm but a top tube of 52cm. A Specialized small has a seat tube of 52cm and a top tube of 52.5cm. These measurements vary from manufacture to manufacture and from year model to year model.
  16. I'd suggest an aluminium bike. You might find a carbon bike within your price bracket but with your weight I think an aluminum bike would be a better option. Shimano 105 works well enough. You also need to look at decent wheels, I'd advise you stay away from Mavic wheels as I've seen them crack with riders of 100kg. Do you know what size bike you need ?
  17. Get the seller to give give you an invoice for the parts and take a few things apart, then you should only pay the vat at 15%. A complete bike pays something like 40% duties.
  18. You could go for a Recovery shake, something like 32Gi Recover, Biogen Recover, I think USN also has one. Personally I prefer the 32Gi. You could also have a glass of chocolate milk. But if you just looking for a whey protein shake then I'd suggest EVOX or SSN.
  19. At least you'll have the tan lines !!!!
  20. That just sounds like a lame excuse ?? If ExBigBen can ride in the rain then so can you Only roadies are scared of the rain
  21. ExBigBen, you forgot to mention where you were riding. Should this have happened further north, they would just have passed and probably screamed at you because you were in the way. Now remember to pay it forward. Please no rain for tomorrow morning !!!!!!

    AMASHOVA

I didn't see any crashes. Did see one lady lying in the middle of the road but the medics were around her. She was alone. When I eventually got a new chain and was mobile again I was overtaking a lady on a MTB and while she was taking a drink from her bottle she lost balance but somehow managed to unclip but the bike fell over. That XPS banner also got me, I thought that was the finish just to realize that I still had about a km to go.

Just about everybody passed me At least I managed to complete the race. To have gone all that way to do 34km would have been seriously cr@p !!!!

Broke my chain at 34km. Then a support vehicle stopped and installed a quick link. 1km later my chain broke again. Eventually another support vehicle stopped and installed a new chain. I stood on the side of the road for 1:40 and then did the last 70km alone.
