  1. what they gonna do.....? Summon him to Geneva? LOL
  2. Ok then you stay out of the conversation neh? Leave it jadeg and I.
  3. 250watts sounds impressive but it would be more impressive if it was generated under high torque hence the chain tension request. High torque requires good film strength from a lube and paraffin wax does not have that. if the 250Watts is at speed then it sound more plausible

  5. They won;t have the durability of the Keo or an iClic though
  6. ya about my BS meter if off the scale and I need it to shut up
  7. Its ok, Irony is lost on him. I think He skipped school that day
  8. http://www.timeslive.co.za/thetimes/2013/07/30/driver-to-face-trial-over-burry-stander-s-death Not sure what you okes are moaning about. If you read the previus articles th charges were dropped on a technicality and the state intended to re instate the charge.
  9. HOi Oke,s Lets hold a fundraiser for a UCI Bribe on behalf of MTB baaisaaiklist. Judging by the number of members on line if We all chipin R100 we can pay the fine 3 x over and then maybe he can get a rubber arm band made in his honour. I'm thinking green bands in support of legalising cannibis for religious reasons in MTB races. I need to find my karma with some herbal help
  10. How often does one need spare cleats? I'm still using my time Impacts I bought 12 years ago and only on the 2nd set of cleats. The Time Racing pedals I used prior to those where 1988 vintage and I used the original cleats till I could no longer get spares for the pedals. I like the Keo but their bearings are made of devonshire cheese. I prefer the Time pedal system and have been using it since the TBT days circa 1988. Never had an issue with them, only required bearing replacement once between 1988 and 2001.
  11. Guys what this really means,.........is that you can't celebrate a tough stage with that dagga spliff anylonger. It may be a performance enhancer. Also, maybe don't take any bone stimulants lie Viagra. it could be embarrassing on many levels
  12. And we're back to the cop out answer of "ride what you like"... So we go from an absolute declaration to a cop out..............aibo, cyclists will buy into any fad. Since you downloaded the report (I can't be bothered to download drivel even if it's free) what was the tension in the chain during these tests? What was the speed of the chain? At what temperature was the test conducted?
  13. It is a deterrent but why then what is value of the pro riders fines? IS the same fine applied to them? This is a case of beating up the little guy while letting the big guys walk. This is a case of incidental doping, to which the rider admitted. The punishment is a ban for 2 years. Somehow the UCI feels thats not enough and R32,500-00 is more appropriate. Seem to me to be a money making racket and for me this seals it as far as any type of competitive event is concerned. The system is not just
  14. If you understood the chemistry of parafin wax you would know that its not the best lubricant for a low speed application.... But you read it on the internet so it must be true
  15. apparently the high and mighty would prefer that he didn't.... cyclists......nuff said
  16. Who is "They"? If you mean bike thieves then typically "They" stick to bikes. Crime like this is generally opportunistic and fast moving goods is always high on the list
  17. The costs are a deterrent.
  18. OK thanks, I'll be on the look out but I suspect the bike is in Vrygrond already. He had a habit of leaving the bike on the stoep. When I walk my dogs I always saw it standing there and kept telling myself to ask him not to leave it in plain sight since there's a lot of skaraminke walking past their house in Promenade road. I know what the bike looks like. If I see it whoever is riding it, other than Robin, is going to get moered off of it. PS real nice riding, Robin showed me some of your video's
  19. best lube if you don't want to keep reapplying lube is wire rope dressing. But you pansies won't like it because it will soil yu carefully oiled legs, is messy to apply and is black as tar. Next best is finishline wet lube. Dry wax lubes belong on pampered road bikes. MTB's need a mans lube
  20. Would this cousin be Robin?
  21. its all a monumental crock of ****
  22. I doubt that. Maybe in the US where 29 is god because its an American thing. What will lead the market is how the 650B is doing on the competition circuit. Then you have the die hards who bought into a stupid concept for weak wheels hat needs a wider hub, rear triangle that needs a funny bends in the stays for heel clearance. I wonder what the failure rate is on 29 frames....
  23. Yip the common lesser spotted 29er regret answer
