  1. I have had some K#k even when collecting online purchases from the Durbanville store. I ordered some Michelin Pro Race tyres and went to collect only to be told I can't collect because it was an online purchase. If I wanted to collect from th store I would have to pay the full retail not the discounted price. I think the look on my face must have made Willemse snr step in and remedy the situation because I got my tyres (already paid for online) and was offered what ever else I wanted at a discount (10% IIRC) I walkd out with a pair of Sidi Mtb shoes too. The Willemse's themselves are focussed on helping their customers but some of their staff treat their role in the store as just a job. Thats where the k#k starts. I have no dog in this fight but the online purchase can be inproved. A stock item is a stock item so if an online purchase needs to be moved to another store it can be done virtually. All depends on how the "Shop" and warehouse stock are managed in the database / ERP system

During the Youtube commentary of one of the races a viewer posted that the Oracle boat appeared so stable it looked as if it was controlled by computer. The next race commentary was disabled.....

I ts much more sad than that. The winning boat was built in New Zealand by an Oracle owned, New Zealand created and based company. Th winning teams CEO is the most successful sailor in the history of the AC, Sir Russell Coutts, A New Zealander. The Mircale turn around came after the New Zealand based designed team flew out a couple of engineering guru's to tweak the automatic foiling system. The wing was repositioned and the foils given forward rake to increase the boats stability. Those were the silver bullets. Money and technology won the day.Only twice in the history of the America's cup has a lesser funded team won it; in 1995 when Sir Peter Blakes Team NewZealands Black Magic trounced Dennis Conner's One America 5-0 and then again in 2000 when New Zealand successfully defend against Italy's Prada Challenge.

yeah and Shosholoza were undone by a few things after 2007. Rand dollar exchange rate, and cost once the 2010 Oracle challenge won and annouced the AC72. Those AC72 are roughly twice the cost of the IACC90. and that excludes the higher maintenance on the wing sail. As foir the 34thAC, its a caseof money wins. I also smell a rat in that that Oracle boat gained over 90 sec on the course in under a week. I suspect there was a 12th crewman called Mr Data
  6. I know of a bloke in Fish Hoek. PM for his details
  7. blind people cant see anything no matter how bright
  8. actually stunning lap times from lap 1. He pulled a second a lap in his first stint, then after teh safety car he pulled on average 2.2 seconds per lap to gain an advantage over Alonso who only stopped once

  12. typical safffa coward. @'dale ya bru he's awrite hay. A bit bruised and got of lightly with whiplash and some scrapes. Fortunately the truck driver was awake and stopped before he rolled over my pal. CCTV and a proper police would help greatly. But I think most SA drivers need counselling by a professional because the majority seem to have an inferiority complex
  13. pal of mine was knocked off hsi bke this morning in Muizenberg. Arsehole driver overtook a truck that was drivng patiently the cycling group. Arsehole then decide enough was enough and overtook the truck, then had to avoid an oncoming car and swiped my pal of his bike. Naturally the driver did not stop. I think its time to start carrying lead.

  16. oh I see, so a happy giraffe tried to head butt two morons....
  17. yes thats true but lets not let this thread get that far off topic. Stick to this case. there's a lot of negative results from the law to use as examples of how phuqwits like mister silver bakkie driver get away with criminal activity. Hence protest rides, or just protests in general need to be made to get the point across that we will not tolerate this kind of behaviour in our society.
  18. how does rape stats relate to the courts?? where cases are tried and evidence exists, convictions happen. That there is a general problem with the SA males attitude toward women there is no doubt.
  19. actually in the eyes of the court, you're wrong. Very wrong. The police and courts take assault on women very seriously. Where there is clear evidence, convictions are usually heavy. Any bruising is viewed as Assault with intent, whether he slapped her around or just shook her.
  20. cyclists being on that road is not the problem. The problem is drivers and their *** attitude coupled to ******* enforcement. sure they can sit behind a camera but do real police work...forget it.
  21. good rule, will making passing easier and safer. If you can't ride with 580mm flat bars then go ride DH
