  1. So will you have 2 ambulances, a medic on a quad, 3rd party insurance, well stocked water tables and sizeable goodie bag at your event? We are talking about events and why they cost so much, not about what you can do in your free time.
  2. I can't wait for all the events the armchair specialists are going to put up for us! The best manicured tracks, expert medical services, the best food etc. etc... All at the bargain price of R50!!! Some people here need a real reality check - go out there and do it yourself, it's mos really easy? And it is really cheap? Come and report back when you are done and tell us if you would do it again.
  3. Looks like WvA and Aleix Espargaro are on the same whatsapp group.
  4. Time to get out the Italian dictionary!
  5. Ek dink net aanlyn inskrywings tot vandag (Saterdag)
  6. Ek wag nog vir die 42km... 90km.gpx 60km.gpx
  7. Ek het nie die gpx files nie, maar kan probeer kry. Die korter afstande is altwee deel van die 94km roete, net ander afdraai punte.
  8. Event Name: Gaan Wild MTB RaceWhen: 01/05/2022Where: Lekwena Wildlife Estate, , Potchefstroom, North WestCategory: Mountain BikeWe invite you to come and enjoy a day in the “flat” NW province and take part in the “Gaan Wild” race on 1 May 2022 The 94km is a challenging route through the Lekwena wildlife estate and surrounding farms and the shorter distances (60km, 42km and 20km) lend themselves to more relaxed riding. Go to Event Page.
  9. We're going to Jeffreysbay for a week an I want to do some riding on the gravel roads there. Do I need to pack a 9mm and kevlar vest or is it reasonably safe in the rural farm lands? Thanks in advance.

    Paris-Nice

Mr. Wout van Aert, take a bow!
  11. I should have taken the 34T.
  12. Looks like it's mainly from over our right shoulders or directly from behind until we turn west towards katbakkies. Should be a fast first 170km... And the Swedes forecast a max of 30-33°C for the day.
  13. Depends on how much that little climb at the end bothers you... I think the first half will be fast and furious and you might run out of gears, unless you are comfortable at spinning your legs at 140rpm... I'm running a 36T up front and I have my doubts of making it to the top of Katbakkies in one piece. If you are a reasonable climber I think a 34T will work/be a good compromise.

    947 Ride Joburg

My BIL and I are doing it on MTBs. Pumping tires to 3bar and locking out all suspension. I've got Bontrager XR1 front and rear, should be fast rolling. Gears are 36T front and 10-52 at the back. Should be fun...
  15. I put mine on my seat tube so the guys behind me could see it... ????
  16. Yes. Went down very hard and didn't move for a few seconds.
  17. Meintjies just crashed out.
  18. Watching the swimming, I noticed a lot of teenagers competing for top positions - I think the youngest I saw was 14? Even the skateboarders had winners in the low teens! How do you even identify those athletes at such a young age? Do those countries have national high performance olympic sport centers to develop them? Are they government funded/supported?
  19. You would have to be of a certain age group to catch that...
  20. 3rd stage for Qubeka Assos!
  21. Bike may not roll out more than 7.93m according to CSA website
  22. My SO is on discovery vitality and has now got an e-bike. We are not sure if e-bike rides count towards points etc. as a normal bike would? Can she mark her rides as e-bike and still get the rewards?
  23. Also listening keenly as my SO is also considering getting herself an e-bike to ride with me.
  24. Mmm, would that now be all your white customers with bikes, or all your customers with white bikes? We wouldn't want the cancel mob closing you down, now would we?
