got me a Catlike Leaf lid - very comfy even when doing long rides

The HD makes for a great front tyre... and I think the combo of the HD Trailstar front and NN Pacestar rear is great... If I was doing more gravity orientated riding I would definitely say to go for a super gravity... lets hope they wake up...

OK so here is my short review. The new 2015 NN SS 27.5x2.25 is great as a rear tyre... Hy plak soos tak met 'n K en rolls like a Rolls Royce. I could honestly feel the difference in the drag reduction from the HD that I had on the bike. The grip seems better than the old nic with what seems like a more progressive let go when you push over the grip limit. I like it and the fact that it is 120g lighter than the 800g HD SS it replaced has helped pedalling and the "chuckability" of the the bike. which does wonders for the confidence also. Recommended with 4/5 thumbs up

So I got my SS TLE Nobby Nic 2.25 pacestar for the back yesterday and fitted it. Now I just goto go try it out. Hans Dampf SS TLE 27.5 x 2.35 - 820g Nobby Nic SS TLE 27.5 x 2.25 - 680g Hoping the NN pedals a bit easier apart from the weight difference. Will be testing it this weekend. Been off the bike now for 2 weeks due to flu and finally ready to go tackle some trails again.

I have the KCNC ones on now as an alternative to ESI but I still think ESI chunky is better...

ye my GP say no antibiotics... coryx and bronco and panado. he says 7 to 10 days ride it out.

So who else has the throat itch starting... not my idea of fun... Already on the sinutab extra strength, ACC200 and Andolex-C throat spray. seasonal change catches me all the time.

That's why you don't use XC tyres for AM or Enduro...

I have honestly not had a slashed snakeskin ...yet ...but I do like the Shwabbly rubbers... they don't slip off when I ride hard.

Was wondering how you where doing with them... Good feedback. We need a hardcore review of some of the tyres of choice - really pushing them Dear Hub review... how about a head2head shootout of the top rear tyre choices for and top front tyre choices but in typical South African conditions. I cannot see it has been done really anywhere... pretty please...

My HD trailstar scrubs a bit when the surface gets a bit loose over hard on the twistys and I have seen some tearing on the inside of the very edge blocks - lack of support on the side of them I think - unlike the Mary which has the supported side blocks. Still like the HD grip though - all angles of lean has treads contacting without dead spots... Keen to try a new Nobby Nick on the rear in Pace Star as Trailstar is a bit soft I am also a bit weary of the Mary as a Front in Gauteng with the dry, loose sandy or very hard surfaces. I have had an old style Nobby Nic 2.25 on the back on my old bike but that felt like it was braking away here and there also. This has been addressed on the new Nic apparently.

So with the Enduros that ran over the weekend how did which tyres perform. Some feedback from the gents that slayed the trails???

Nice writeup on PB and a side by side pic... Looking at the tread is should roll a but easier and grip more as they said... makes sense. Problem is there is too much old stock still around making finding a 2015 a problem - at the right price that is...

Has anyone tried the NEW Nobby Nic??? I am keen to get for a rear tyre in 27.5 2.25 or 2.35 SS Pacestar but I have not seen much testing done on them - the previous one was pretty good as I used a 26 x 2.25 as a rear tyre. Also it seems the NN stock everyone has is the old model.

after waiting 2 months for tyres from them I could not agree more. NO STOCK = NO BUY
