  1. Fixed with comic sans.
  2. damn missed the cut off... somehow thought it was tonight. Entered but haven't paid... will phone and find out if I can still honour my entry
  3. Although I really enjoy Zwift there is issues that they need to address. I am really getting irritated with Zwift to be honest. The constant updates the last couple of weeks is a real pain and on top of that it seems that every update has added other issues. The last 3 events I tried to attend I either never got pulled into the event start (after joining on the android app and on the menu when starting zwift on my pc) or just before the event I got "NO SIGNAL" messages on all my devices - never to return again - and then restarting zwift and reconnecting the event start has been missed. Completed the Academy also and had to re-do a couple of the workouts since they did no get counted - I did not mind since the workouts are ok but when it needs to count to a goal it sucks. Logging a support ticket also does not seem to help since nothing seems to get resolved by doing so. You get acknowledgement of receipt and that there is a problem but not recourse or fixes seem to come from this other than multiple updates that just seem to add additional issues. Friday Rant over - let me log another support ticket...
  4. payback is when you ride past the oke with a flat with your saddle bag and just stare at him as you roll past... (not that we condone this sorta behaviour as we cyclists all look after each other right???)
  5. GUI customizing is a bit lacking. More data fields and the ability to select the ones you want would be great. Also the ability to sync multiple sensors. I.E. if I want to use my garmin cadence sensor for accurate cadence - not the trainer sensing. but the trainer for power etc. Love the VR world riding and racing... makes training much more enjoyable
  6. Valv excluding the juice...
  7. S.A. 's own De Gendt?????
  8. OK - if the man says he got bottles - he got bottles - did not look like it though.
  9. Still think that bottle issue was disgusting... so Proudly S.A. But WELL DONE Willie!!!
  10. Not getting sick is so important... after a bit of a light cold I am still trying to work my way out of without overdoing it - it's extremely difficult holding back and not push harder Recent FTP test proved a 35w drop in ftp due to the cold -> I really hope all them lost ponies come back soon... So depressing...
  11. Hi, Stupid question... is there a option to do the entry for both the MTB and Road event or is it just done by doing the entries separately for each of the events. Did not find a "Both" option.
  12. seems high... haven't done it yet so cannot say if it's worth it....
  13. I think the Instagram account is false... someone posing as him.
  14. WOW he has surfaced again??? I thought he rode single speed only???
  15. Any groups going here regularly? Would like to join up and ride with if possible. Looking for an A/B batch group or any other will also do. I am not affiliated with a club so going solo really sucks and not as safe.
  16. Definitely this.... Agreed MTB with slicks (depending what fits) works great. My wife has a dual sus 26er - we fitted 29er MTB rims with 25c tyres and road tubes. The only issue we had was the fact that she spun out the 42t/11t gears but had lots of options for the climbs. She whipped plenty men on tiny bikes that day and she is not a great cyclist or particularly fit either. So be carefull when splashing on a road bike. the gears may be the determining factor - There is far less granny rings to drop to when things start going up but top speed is better. I would consider a bike with 28c tyres (make sure there is sufficient clearance) and possibly compact gearing unless you can muscle the climbs. Strong wheels may need to be custom built or maybe you are lucky with whatever comes on the bike.
  17. hehehehe - now he has his own Skybot to wheelsuck...
  18. I think the same... Cav will cry a river if the team is split in half for GC duties also. But LM deserves a dedicated GC team. Maybe a GC TDF when Cav retires???
  19. Your HR is higher because it takes more energy to move at a higher speed at same power since the speed of movement is also burning more energy. It could also be that you are not used to going to such cadence. So to paint a scenario: You grind 400w @ 60-70rpm 160bpm and can sustain that effort for 10min before your legs blow and seize and you cannot carry on, have to stop gather your courage and limp home. OR You spin 400w @ 85-95rpm and can sustain that effort for 25min - after which you crest the summit drop the watts and recover while carrying on and finishing in 1/2 the time. Maybe a bit exaggerated but this is actual scenarios that I have seen happen plenty times. HR is just one indicator of your effort. It does not help you kill your legs and joints in a hero effort in the big ring no matter what the rules say.
  20. Rider preference most of all... I have been doing some HIIDT lately using a program from training peaks for power development The output vs cadence according to these sessions is typically - > 50% @ 85 75% @ 90 85% @ 95 95% @ 95 105% @ 100 115% @ 100-110 This is designed to help increase cadence and stabilize power and sustained performance at higher cadence due to training sustained efforts in those zones. You cannot perform in certain zones if you don't train in them. This also increases comfort in these zones. So there is some training that can be done to increase comfort in higher or lower cadence zones thus improving technique and also to prevent "bouncing" . The importance is not to stress your joints in trying to do this though (low or high efforts) and thus this does take some time to train your body and your brain. Well that's what the theories say.
  21. I think I was maybe hoping for more somehow. IMO I think its not a pretty bike at all - would buy a C60 or V1 rather even if they cost the same. Something is wrong with that front-end. It looks like they copy and paste various parts together that don't fit well. And I was really looking forward to it too...
  22. why do you not just motocross or dirtbike. cycling is for those that power themselves e-bikes are for wannabees and tv coverage of the pros.
  23. CSA sounding more and more like SARS - they take but nobody can see what's done with the money...
  24. Probably a repost but I am saving my kidneys for one of these... (can you sell both in advance?) really loving the concept...
