  7. Friday is going to be packed at the Wanderers. The Aussies have a really good side.Looking forward to it.This series is good for us coming out of a fairly strong and spirited showing against the poms. TBH I have had enough of the verbal abuse, spitting and general bad behaviour by a certain minority in the crowd.Keep it tough but clean.

  17. I think i have convinced myself for a kiepie and pap tomorrow Had a good exp when I went into Wimpy at ORT recently for the first time in yonks and saw chicken and pap with peri peri sauce. Not bad actually
  18. Wus I have done 380V ,connecting a hi fi is regulation. My latest experiment with a limit switch was a mild irritation
  19. 2 cups of water 1 tsp salt 1 tbsp butter 1 cup Jan Pap (its the best and delicious) 1. Pour the water into a medium pot, add the salt and butter and bring to the boil. 2. Slowly pour the maize meal into the pot to form a cone in the centre but don’t stir! 3. Cover with the lid, reduce the heat to low and allow the pap to simmer for 5 minutes. 4. Using a large fork (such as a carving fork), stir it until crumbly and cover again with the lid. Simmer for an hour on low heat. That's what the recipe says but I find 30 mins more than adequate because I have reduced the quantities This will serve 2. I am not too fond of a specially made onion and tomato sous and prefer some liberal dashes of peri peri sauce together with the juices of a rare steak or peri peri chicken. A hot mango atchar goes well with this as well. The Woolies one is the best for my taste If you are doing a braised lamb shank this is also a good accompaniment but Polenta is more suited for that

  23. At 5 in the morning ..every day I could not be bothered to cook up a storm. Woollies standard baked muesli with dried fruit soaked in hot water and wolfed down. The hot water softens the fruit and makes it lekka. No milk no sugar
  24. Thats flippen hilarious...still laughing Many years ago a mate and myself were driving back from Hout bay to Claremont and not long after Constantia Nek there is a particularly sharp bend to the right with a vertical embankment on the left.A Glory Boy on his 500 thumper decided just before the bend to overtake us at high speedand then try the imposible to make the bend. The last we saw of him was climbing the Wall of Death at speed...we never saw him again..
