  2. You gotta do Tokai. U dont have to know the routes, just go up , then find singletrack down. simple as that. The place is crawling with singletrack....and it's my favorite. and if u want to be social , there are loads of people around.

  10. No! But i cant say where yet. The frame weighs about 1200g and that's a dual suss. The whole bike is quite a bit lighter than my girlfriend's santa Cruz juliana and that's a xs. And i'm planning to fix my Easton XC ones which will make it about 300g lighter. pix coming as soon as teh logo gets here....hurry Tyrone...and the guys at Omnico give me the correct bushings i asked for for a change.

I'm considering getting some more but have to wait for a reply as to amounts and shipping costs. And it looks BRILLIANT.....

  14. Hey all, Just wondering is there any special maintenance for carbon mTB frames? I hear you should use carbon prep paste instead of grease so as not to weaken the frame..dont even know what that is. When cleaning is there stuff you shouldnt use? Thanx

  17. BB tools specific for your BB, Cassette tool
  18. It depend on the geometry of your frame, your frame size, and most NB what type of bike you're building. U dont want to buy a 150mm travel shock for a XC frame becos that'll just stuff up the geometry.
  19. happened on the camps bay road the other day to me. And these guys jsut swerved out into the road and rode abreast when they felt like it.And they dont check for cars when they do it. Had to brake to avoid running one of them down. Personally i think that if you are going to be a roadie, u need a cycling licence. I agree with the THINKBIKE campaign but cyclists need to be aware and considerate of the motorists as well. Especially considering that in Woodstock the taxis drive on the pavements during peak hour and actually hoot for pedestrains to get out of their way, then i dont fancy my chances as a cyclist on these roads. But then again , it's your choice- An 8 km bicycle and a flimsy helmet versus a couple of tons of speeding death.....
  20. Thanx Johan, Your advice is always welcome and very informative. When are u doing more shock courses in Cape town?
