    I bought a bike yesterday eve in Gauteng, as I'm in Cape Town. Hubber advertised the bike, where two guys called "dibs" and the third indicating that he will take it if the other two don't. I PM'd the hubber for his contact details just after the advert appeared. Contacted him immediately when the details came through and arranged an appointment with him that evening to be viewed by a friend up there. Agreed that I will take the bike subject to my mate's view. 8pm I got the call and all good! 8:02 the money was transferred and cleared. Happy seller, happy buyer! ...and happy girlfriend

    We had a flat in the group this morning at the camera in Kayamandi, heading into Stellenbosch. Within a minute there were two guards on bikes, both side of the road. Thumbs up!!!

    Contact me for insurance. As a broker myself, there is two companies I recommend: Santam and Cyclesure. My personal insurance is with Santam. (Car/household and bike) I had a claim two weeks back due to my own negligence. Got paid out within 48hours. I've handled a couple of Cyclesure claims as well. All were resolved promptly and timeously. Do make sure with Cyclesure that your bike is correctly insured for replacement value. (Old for new!)

    Agree! But the problem now, this has been addressed numerous times with the Stellenbosch law enforcement and other parties. It's time to take it up a notch! The real question is...who would like to be on tele Sunday evening at 7pm?

    Guys, why don't we approach Carte Blanche with this problem? They should give more than enough coverage and get the whole community involved.

    I personally think restaurants/shops like Java, Mugg&Bean, Vida E etc. (also) need to get involved. We are regular customers of these places and at the end of the day, they will lose business.
