  1. A bit disappointed, with all this marginal gains stuff, was looking forward to a Jamaican Brakeman.
  2. Thanks Frosty, was unable to watch not even a recording yet. With the mechanical and time loss to GT , made the incorrect assumption Roglic was the fastest, but this opens up why did GT loose so much time.
  3. Thanks John. If Roglic was 7s slower, how much time did GT loose?
  4. https://www.bicycleretailer.com/international/2023/05/16/taiwans-giant-ideal-and-merida-release-q1-earnings-reports Merida sales up!
  5. Have anyone seen some stats for the final climb by Primoz?
  6. Hi Hubbers Need some advice please which one is better for TT bike for Ironman racing? Positives and negatives? Personally leaning towards Ultegra although on aesthetics Sram takes it. Question was posed to me, unfortunately I`m from the generation where RTC shifters was the bees knees. Thanks for the input.
  7. Will have to get up at 4h to dress for a ride! Thanks all of the advice, now to convince myself to harden up.
  8. Finally my opportunity to start a business in the cycle industry without an exorbitant capital outlay. Sell Red newspapers and market the marginal gains!
  9. Thanks @throttles. I am a bit slow today, Red Paper? Like news paper just in red, cause red is faster!
  10. @'Dalewas going to ask if you would be willing to show us your gear to prep for these winter rides? I have given up on the indoor trainer. Currently running @4:30 in the mornings, had three layers on this morning, how do you prepare for the wind chill? Our winters is a bit different, yours wet, ours dry below zero.
  11. The weather is around 6deg at 04:30 in the mornings, the days are lovely, max of around 23. The river level subsided over the weekend, hopefully the river crossing will make a comeback. @ChrisFek is net plein sleg!!!!
  12. I did not see the ladies race, but they compete on the same bike in XCC and XCO? Looked like the "old" epic in the XCO.
  13. Remco to make his TDF debut?
  14. Bring back those Manitou R7 from around 2006 in lumo green.
  15. JBR you are correct, Decathlon brand. Created the team last year, signed a few new riders this year. They are on a new prototype dual suspension, different from last year model. Some Hubber bought a Rockrider and imported, good value.
  16. Thanks Danger Dassie, pulled the trigger, they are covering the cc mtb as well. Left CT due to Outside.

    Cervelo MTB

Read a few articles last night, lot of Blur tech in the bike. At first glance, did not like, but growing on me, the rear stay dropping still looks odd. The Dogma is much better looking than their last bike and hopefully the pivots hold this time. Interesting the rear end being two different triangles with no bridge, but did nothing on the tyre clearance. Awesome time we live in, so many great bikes to drool over. PS. Always been a value for your money guy, bikes being Giant, Liv and Momsen Vipa. Titan Racing took over the space and really like their bikes, from the children to the top end, but I see big compition coming with the Signal Spectre around October. Personally cant see why you would tike the Cervelo above the Signal Spectre.

Hopefully more updated geo than the Hardtail. Dogma also shown today, available March 2024!
  19. I need to decide which cycling website to support. Previously was Cyclingtips, lacked a bit if racing and took Cyclingnews as well. Looking for one place, any feesback on Escape Collective?
  20. The preferred brand is Maxxis around here.
  21. a Few locals ride Aspen`s and do the event annually. No need for DH tyres even think as Maxxis Forekaster is overkill. Personally did it a few years back with Rocket Ron and Racing Ralph
  22. Bottel hulle fiksheid? Sal $ betaal. My soggens draf slog gaan nie genoeg voorbereiding wees nie. Gaan deurkom vir `n dag en ondersteun. Gaan by Kameeldoring net buite die park oorslaap. Saterdag met FNB se personeel gepraat, hulle ry saam paar kliente. Kom ondersteun asseblief die event!
  23. PTO Euro champs @ Ibiza on dstv 207. Great startlist! Lets see who wins, older generation or the young super kids. I am old school.
  24. The event is different than the normal mtb event in the Western Cape, the hospitality makes up for it, just asked Copperhead almost stayed at tannie Linda`s. The winter weather is going to be a challenge early morning, the day should be fine. There is one technical stretch in the Quiver Tree park just outside Kenhardt, rest is doable normal dry river beds, corrugation, lekker diksand stretches, you need to be fit for the distance. The Dorperland Marathon is no longer, it had legendary status with Bundu Conradie keeping everyone up at night in the Hotel and guess who is first on the startline the next morning...Bundu with his Christmas beard and Michelin body. Unfortunately for all these local races the cost of traveling is making their survival difficult.
