  1. The new Pinarello Dogma X has a cut out BB junction, marketed as a Strut to increase pedaling efficiency.
  2. For the Munga and our flat lands in Northern Cape the geo is fine. Now to decide on a nice paint scheme…very lucky. All the best with Munga training.
  3. Time to show off those Elves with an appreciation post.
  4. See there is a road bike in the classifieds. Option to reach out to seller, there is probably a connection. Been keeping an eye on them for the last twelve months. Reviews of the road bikes is promising. Unfortunately with our weakening ZAR, not necessarily meaning a bargain purchase. Can`t exactly recall the geo of mtb, but was on the conservative side. PS. That road bike is a beauty, will consider above the Titan I`m very fond off.
  5. @Pure Savage going disc!😃
  6. From this article Candice is riding with Mona. https://www.netwerk24.com/netwerk24/sport/nog-sport/lill-spog-met-nuwe-span-borgskappe-en-epic-spanmaat-20240130
  7. Not sure it is going to make a difference, since the chain stays length does not change.

    Wandrer

After reading the article, could not help to think of our own wanderers @Lynskey and Frail, trust you guys are well and exploring SA on two wheels! https://escapecollective.com/meet-the-man-who-rode-more-new-roads-than-anyone-else/
  9. It was HOT! Even the Upington boys took a beating! Some technical problems in the first half, but still 1h30min longer than normal ride time.
  10. Yesterday morning run at 5am 24 degrees, on my return just before 6am, cool 29 degrees. Our weather is changing, our evenings way cooler than 10 years ago.
  11. Come to Upington for some heat training!!! A lekker route from Upington to Kakamas and back.
  12. Congrats! Do not that the UCI see your brake hoods.
  13. Guy at the right Bobby Behen from Spez perhaps.
  14. Friend bought a Trek Topfuel 5 over December, RS does exactly the same. Try to resolve this without a dealer in NC…biltong chewy.
  15. Chris my swaer het my op die fiets gekry...na die ride...se hy reken dit gaan jou so 12 maande vat om in shape te kom.
  16. Last week did my first ride in 3 years that does not involve the children, call it a real ride. Halfway, 30km from home on the MTB, all I can think of how crazy is @Jewbaccato do 1024km on a glorified BMX. Eerder jy as ek!
  17. I`m no expert like our fellow Hubber`s. But to me, the JURA E8 is a top 3 purchase of Bean-to-cup machines. Yes everybody would like to be a barista and make beautiful coffee, but it takes skills to learn and time to prepare, a bean-to-cup for me is a winner. On my wish list for many a year...been saving for 3 years and every year there is just something the house/wife/kids need, normally animals...our Golden Retriever Charlie`s actual name is Starbucks and the Fish Aquarium is known as Java. See if you can demo a machine. Enjoy your morning cuppa!
  18. I`ll second this. Some nice BikeHub coverage of your personal bike collection please.
  19. Just from the looks, the Ribble for me. Modern dropped seat stays, different ti finish om the frame. 105 Shimano all day every day! Perhaps option to upgrade the Mavic for some nice Hunt wheels. Change the disc rotors for some previous gen Dura Ace(black look). a Very nice Deda handlebar in the classifieds…. You’re going to have a stunner! You’re Ti!!
  20. Thanks @SwissVan Took the Titan Hades SE 20inch around the block…it was fun…1000km dit is vir deur die gat trek @Jewbacca
  21. Awesome!!!! Thank you to the BikeHub community!!!! This is a great feel good story for a very dismal year. All the best @Jewbacca with your preparation. We are going to be in for one hell of an adventure.
  22. @JewbaccaI’m still hopefull the BikeHub community will unite behind your crazy adventure to do Munga 2024 in aid of the SPCA. Their must be some corporate traction to be had, some BikeHub partners to support the cause. It is going to be a memorable adventure! Breakfast, dinner whatever is on me at Britstown!
  23. Fake, Rapha is owned by the Walmart dinasty, last time they were looking to expand further in cycling with their private equity firm.
