Lyk of FNB weer n klompie ryers inskryf en twee kliente van my borg.
  2. Was going to say or time to start training!!
  3. Thank you for the review. Looks like a great shoe and I am in the market for a shoe to do light off road running. If only available in a wide model. Is it very narrow? It has been probably close to 20 years since I last ran in Adidas. Did not have joy from the one pair Salomon`s, to narrow. As reference run in Hoka Clifton wide and NB 1080 wide. Is the sizing on par with other shoes?
  4. @MattWhen can we expect the interview with @Sid the Sloth? Well done on that ride!
  5. Enjoy your rides, be safe and enjoy the day!
  6. Many years ago, after completing my articles and supposedly receiving a salary increase, my employer asked me to ride with him on the Saterday….gave myself a increase on the road.
  7. Thanks Kylie. My dad grew up in Alexandria, spent many a holiday at my grandparents. The Woody Cape section to Boknes and back and to Salem and back was on the menu.
  8. Please share some of the routes around Kenton. Took the family for a drive on some of the gravel roads and a lot of warning signs for cyclist.
  9. It is not confirmed, she is also unsure why, from the article it sounds like drafting, bur surely the referree had to show her on the road.
  10. Well done to her!! Please pass on gratulations!! Third place is third place no matter the distance, the weather, the compition, she can be proud!!!
  11. Moving from my tri bike to mtb I really struggled. Changed to shorter cranks, it made a big difference to me. I am not powerfull,62kg now, racing weight 59kg.
  12. From my small town, our club has around 130 members. One year starting 36 athletes at Ironman, this year 1…first attempt for full, has done on 70.3 in Mosselbay.
  13. My take on Ironman/long distance triathlon: The Ironman brand attracts many newbies/first comers. Skipping sprint, Olympic distance and enter at 70.3 or full. Max three races and then they “retire” from Ironman just due to the hours required to prepare.
  14. Shortened due to lightning? Friends first full.

  16. Great read, thanks for the effort. Awesome looking bikes!!
  17. Thank you Sepia, sounds very interesting. Way above my DIY skills..time to call Bernard the Handyman.
  18. Thanks Theunissa will look over the weekend what is available locally.
  19. Thanks for the reply 117. I will have a look at what is possible to implement. There are a few challenges...the garage has direct street access, leaving the garage door open will be disastrous. Our prevailing wind is the warm desert wind blowing North/North west into the garage door. I have open 3 windows, to basically try and create the 1 inlet -2 outlet scenario that blows across the system and the inlet is from the gardens side that is irrigated twice daily.
  20. Looking for some advice to cool our garage where our inverter and batteries are located. Number one priority, cost effective, ek is kuiken swak. Would a standup fan make a difference? It is an very old home, the garage can take 6 vehicles no problem, the garage is just to large for an ac and ac takes up to much power for our system. As you are aware we live in Upington, used to heat, love the heat, but this last two weeks, was hellish. Our system can carry the water cooler no problem, but ac we have to use sparingly, installing three more panels to carry the ac in the home. Water cooler the solution, but way above my means at the moment, and then the family will ask why not a water cooler for down stairs in the home. We have Hubble batteries, some love them, some hate them, it was what we could afford and sofar worked with no problems, they are 7 months old, working temprature is +-55, has not bombed out, so atleast temprature below 55, but I have seen a 50. Have a great day all!
  21. Thanks for taking the effort to write. Enjoy reading, hopefully the kick in the butt I need to start moving.
  22. Off topic, The requirements that SARS expect to claim the rebate is very comprehensive. In our region the small farmers stop to claim the rebate. Larger farmers employed extra personal to keep record. With one audit SARS even requested photo evidence the primary farming activity took place. Just look at the mines for rebate fraud, the whole farming rebate is less than 5 mines.
  23. Managed 24.1kw for the day from the 8 panels. Currently on 69%, the water cooler upstairs is on and the aircon was running during supper.
  24. He probably could have retired many years ago. From one Els to another.
