  1. If you have the 09 fsr stumpy then you have a normal BB and the GXP BB will work with the XX crank. If you have the stumpy HT 09 then you have a pressfit BB91 and you have to make a makeshift plan until truvative releases their BB91 bb in a months time.
  2. Been running XX crank on my 2010 spez for 2 months.Pop me a mail and will explain how it's done allisterab@telkomsa.net
  3. I have a brand new never been used Middleburn 48 ring that i got myself in case i was going to do the argus on my mtb if you want.Looking for R350 incl postage.
  4. Lots of good advice here.As said, specialized is made my merida,in fact merida OWNS 49% of specialized.2 problems i have with the epic. 1.If you buy the s-works be prepared to get nailed when you sell it.Last year they were selling for about 90K.Guys are struggling to get 40K now. 2.I don't like the rear suspension.Every year you hear the same from specialized when they bring out the new epic."THIS YEAR WE HAVE GOT THE BRAIN SORTED" I agree with everyone, the stumpy is the best in the range, the old design tho,not the 2010.
  5. 3h10 ,bad position going up chappies so lost contact with front guys, too bad thats racing.Front ladies did 3h06 and mighty mouse was prob about 2 min ahead so no-one in vb breaking 3hrs.We caught a lot of VA and some A,in the end our bunch was huge,a very twitchy and nervouse bunch i thought.
  6. What groups broke 3hrs?
  7. Aaaa, the older i get the better i was thread.
  8. Yep was with compressor and a 355 rim
  9. The Conti's will work fine, you might just need a little help with a tire lever but i prefer a tight fit, tires seal better.I also had a set of Barro race on my race wheels for the weight but i never even got to ride them.I put them on because i also wanted to build a light set of wheels with good tread but the tires kept blowing off the rim, before i could even ride them.I would blow them up enough for the tires to seal and then within 30min they would just blow off the rim.I think the Barros are too light and the sidewall is too weak.I wouldn't go under 400g tires.Ok for a show bike but i wasn't going to take a chance of the front blowing off while i'm riding.
  10. 90% of all bikes out ther3e come from Giant or Merida factory. If it does come from Merida i'm sure the build will be good.BMC & Specialized also come from Merida and you guys don't seem to have a problem with those bikes.Looks like they copied the Specialized design anyway so i'm sure the ride will be good. BUT,i'm with everyone else on this one,how long will Cyclelab do this brand before moving on to the next brand they get a good deel on.Feel sorry for all those suckers who went and bought Volcan.
  11. When i feel tired i just don't go to work,simple.

Don't bother getting the mooring with them, not worth it. Email to the USA ALWAYS helps.Just state you case along with names you have dealt with describing poor service and all will get sorted quickly.

Trek bikes are not their main priority(Barbie dolls and toys are)so be prepared to stand behind Barbie before you get any service

  17. Road derailer is short cage so max 28 on the rear, not many people strong enough to ride that on a mtb tho
  18. I would say none of them.Time in zone is what i count at the end of the week.(power if you have one or HR)
  19. I'll give you the secret to any sani/epic etc etc race. You only have to be fitter than your partner.
  20. What is your cycling backround? How many years road/mtb? Dont understand the pilates story, some weeks you doing more pilates than riding the bike.Factor in the time you take to drive to the class,do the class and drive home you missing what could be a good ride there.Dont get caught by the time in the saddle story. Its what you are doing when you train not how much.Did all my epics on around 10hrs week.Intensity is the name of the game and dont do the junk miles. I would somewhere try and do 3 days in a row even if one day is just 30min just so you will know what it is like to ride for 3 days.I would skip a few pilates classes and use the time for a recovery/fat burning ride. The more weight you can loose before sani the better. Good luck Good luck.
  21. These are the times you see what insurace is good and which ones are a rip.
