  1. Good, sounds right. ... just how dark and dangerous is the black route and do you know if you can shower there?
  2. It looks like the rear shock has shot through the seat tube!
  3. ... that plastic bike is still nice Drongo ... go and ride her as she is clearly a girl that would like to get dirty and not want to stand around on an LBS floor while it could be blazing a trail somewhere!
  4. That kink is actually rather clever, as I am sure it really stiffens up that down tube.
  5. I have not tried the Barrow yet, so can't honestly answer that. For a marathon ride the Saguaro with lowish pressure on the front is great, but when the trail turns nasty and you feel like misbehaving a big burly tyre up front tends to increase the fun factor. For the Epic I would think the Saguaro a prefect for front/back combo
  6. Clean and simple lines with lovely welds .... sometimes bikes do not have to have lots of flair to be a sexy bike, instead relying on grace and elegance.
  7. I think that bike is under serious threat from this one ... LINK
  8. I have the Saguaro's on the Shova and want a set for the Inbred (29'er) ... they are around in some CT stores. I have just put a new set of Maxxiss Ardents on the Inbred, so will wear them down a little before getting the Saguaro's. Dangerboy. Are you seriously looking, if so I will let you know RE stock on those from a couple of LBS's over the next few days. Marathon type rides - Saguaro front and back More Trail rides - Saguaro back with something like the Ardents in front Just my 2c
  9. One of the best looking SS bikes MTB's out there and I am seriously jealous ... would be great though if that frame had a der dropout or interchangeable one in order to make it a simple choice if you want both a geared HT and a SS, but can only buy one bike. Those Paul Bling Bits are lovely!
  10. Hi there Any further feedback on the Lurcher?
  11. I will be there on the 21st of this month. Will be driving out to Kroonstad and back with the intention of "hopefully" being in JHB between 4 and 5pm. What is this place like? http://www.cyclepark.co.za/
  12. Pray tell where this is please ... as my knowledge of JHB is extremely little to nothing
  13. Yo you bunch of tree hugging, bunny cuddling tofu eating hippies. I am looking for MTB rides/trail in JHB near to OR Tambo airport ... I am there again next week with a late flight out and am hoping to sneak in a quick ride instead of twiddling my thumbs at the airport!
  14. Reply from Rob the creator of the bike below Hi Thanks for your email... To date I haven’t sold any frames to South Africa, I had a couple of queries but no sales yet. I will look into a distributor once I have my second run of frames ready for sale. Hopefully then we can get some bikes there for people to see and ride. I have sold the first 100 frames, had lots of great feedback and a few of the boys doing well in National races. I’ll have a few riders on the world cup circuit this year, none of the big money guys but some that are capable of turning some heads... There is some good info on my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=268432873226070&id=119706528098706#!/zerodebikes I have an AM bike that I made for myself but there are a few challenges in the design of the AM that don’t exist in the DH. These moslty relate to the 11spd Alfine hub which has a bulkier body and is more difficult to modify than the 8. I am working through the design but it will be some time off. I am just a one man band at this stage so it’s a lot of work! I totally believe in the product, hopefully one day the world will believe too!
  15. Hi all Below an email from a friend..... Hello EveryHoggies.... Anyone know anyone who has had a Downhill bike stolen.....? Please contact me with some details about the bike. Hairy, you not-so-closet roadie - please will you post this on the Hub as well? Maybe we can reunite someone with their ummm.... lost.... property. Martin, please will you spread the word at The Bike Shed?
  16. Hey it paid for the study fees
  17. Bull, I worked as a cycle courier in CT for sometime and breaking the rules because you are on the roads so long each day is no excuse Damned right you are!
  18. They were playing Kurt Darren very loud from the 4X4 with the door open in the back ground?
  19. Hi there ... where did you get then and how many Z.A.R please?
  20. I do hope they have this sorted... I dropped them a mail earlier asking if there are any bikes in SA as it would be interesting to see. It is rather nice when people go out there and tackle a problem to make MTB's better.
