  3. Any idea of how the guy on the motorbike is?
  4. That must have been one of the best 24hr courses I have done .... that section of single track you enter after the sharp left hand switch back and where the trees "hug in on you" along the trail was just fipping brilliant and made the effort required to get there well worth it! Well Done to the Dirtopia team for a good event
  5. I personally prefer a firmer saddle on a bike
  6. So if you work in an LBS and have done the Epic you can use this to win over sales on the floor ... true ... I was in a certain LBS today and the client asks something with the salesman replies "well when I rode the epic I only used .... products" .... See he has used it to his benefit Still too steep for me thought.
  7. One would think that the stans would not make a difference here
  8. Voetsek CAAD4 This is primarily why I am after the frame ... the rear drop outs .. nice and simple when running SS http://www.mangiant.net/link_pics/Trek%20Rig/P1000607.jpg
  9. You do need to include the pic of your leg to further enforce your statement!
  10. Solo no. 71 and styling a raggedy beard this year for some reason unknown to me. Look out for this bike when you pass me
  11. Last year was a 20 lap solo for me with time spent with the family being a priority. This year I am a little (read lots) unfitter and maybe (read definataley) a few kg's heavier so it would be great to hit 20 laps again. I understand it is more technical this year, and for this I am rather grateful. Should the route have remained the same as last year I think the race would very quickly start to loose it's appeal. For those who did Wiesenhoff I would expect something along those lines. Cooler weather this year will be a blessing as every bloody year it always cooks at this race.! H
  12. Hi All Can anybody please give me a little feedback on how a Fisher G2 geometry frame will handle with a std fork vs the G2 forks. Assistance would be much appreciated thanks H
  13. Nice ... Shova it will be then. Just received confirmation of my race no. 71

  18. Nice, but why is the bike not covered in trail dirt ...... we need proof that you ride this thing and don't just get your "mechanic" to continuously clean it.
  19. Took the SS for a spin on Sunday and am convinced now that the Shova will be at the 24hr .....

  21. Sometimes practicality out ways looks ... I think this would be one of those times: if you change sprockets or tension up the sliders you don't have to adjust your rear disc the rear wheel can just drop out as per a std geared bike when using a QR ... no bolts to hold the wheel in place or chain tugs that needs to be loosened and then tightened up again once the wheel has been re-installed fine tuning is very simple I believe the EBB systems can be prone to creaking noises if not kept squeacky clean ... this is an mtb after all so clean is not an option
