I wish you all the luck in the world with Momentum. If you think Discovery is bad they are even worse. I use both Discovery and Momentum and to get to the same points statuses on Momentum is nigh on impossible. I am diamond with Discovery and dont have any hassles reaching gold every year to maintain my status. For the past 2 years I can barely make gold( platinum is the top tier on Momentum). You would think that being able to reach the top tier on the one would easily qualify you for the other one as well but definitely not the case. The cash backs and rewards with Discovery also far outweigh momentum and are always very easy to achieve. And a simple phone call to the help desk and an email if they have missed something has always resolved my issues quickly and smoothly. If they have missed something I regularly get a complimentary smoothie voucher for my hassles.

Just negotiated the riding pass with the wife.... Now to put in the hard work

If there is any team out there looking for a member I am looking to join a Discovery team. I have hit all my goals since the inception of the active rewards and intend to going forward unless there is an exeptional reason why I cant. PM me if you looking.

When we moved back to SA we decided to bring our cat with. She seemed happy but after a week she disappeared. We were gutted especially after deciding to bring her back with us. I searched everywhere for days looking for her. Putting up notices and walking the streets. I then did some research on lost cats and the one thing was to check around the house. Most of the time they have gotten stuck in something close to home or have had a fright and are hiding somewhere and wont come out. I thought I had looked absolutely everywhere to be honest, but I thought I will try one last time. I finally found her in a draw under my kids cot. Where I has looked many a time before!! But she was so far back and in a corner that you had to really pull the whole draw out and move everything to find her. The amazing thing for me was she hadnt eaten or been to a toilet the entire time which was close to a week. I really hope this turns out to be your problem. But do one last search, especially if your kitty did have a fight with the neighbours cat. They could be terrified and have found somewhere really good to hide and just not want to come out.

I am glad that you realised you couldnt rely on me!! I think I will be the one requiring the pushing! So at least I will have a few around to help out!

Hi Guys thanks for the info, I know these options exist but was hoping to save myself R800 because that is what the cost would be for 2 people and 2 bikes. There is also the convenience of not having to leave as early to get to the start. Having to catch the bus at 04:30 to make my start of 06:35 means getting up mighty early to get to the bus departure point. It would be cheaper, though not more convenient, to take my bike to Carbineers hall on the Saturday myself, even taking Petrol into consideration. So if anybody else out there wants to save themselves R400 for the bus or even more if there is more than one of you, as well as not have to get up at such an awful hour to make the start, let me know!

I know I can drop it off on the Saturday but that means going from Durbs back to PMB just to drop the bikes off. SomethingI will have to do but I am hoping someone else is in the same position as me and we can make a plan. Alternatively is anybody willing to give me a lift to PMB to collect my car after the race?

Anybody out there with the same dilemma as what I have got? Wife and I are both doing the Shova and we somehow need to arrange for transport to collect the car from Pietermaritzburg after finishing the race. I know there is a bus service but I was wondering if anybody wants to share a lift? One person can do the run to Pietermaritzburg while leaving a car in Durbs and afterwards they can then help by giving a lift back to PMB to collect the car. Yes I know there is a bus service but this only leaves Durbs at 16:00 which is a bit late. Anybody out there willing to lift share? Alternatively anybody live in PMB where I can drop my bikes off on Friday on my way down to Durbs so I can catch the bus from Durbs to PMB and have my bike in PMB? That might also help? Of course must be closeish to the start so I can collect bike on the Sunday morning!

Great race! Really enjoyed it! Would have been so much better if the guy I gave a tube and lent my pump to could at least have returned the pump at the end! Learned my lesson for next time! Will give tubes in future but pumps, make sure you have your own!

Substitutions are open at registration! Or so they better be!! I have taken over someone elses entry and when I asked they said I just need the persons details and can the do the substitution on race day!

My first ever MTB race! Really looking forward to it and hope it lives up to all the hype! Only doing the 40kms and hope it isnt just fast and flat and there is a little bit of technical in it! Not too much, my technical abilities are VERY limited! A half brick can prove to be a challenge! Pity anyone getting stuck behind me!! Dont get too aggro!

Got mine made tubeless after asking the same question last week. Works a treat!

I just want to know how you get them to look after the lego and realise that when that little piece goes missing that is it!! I am not hunting it down for them or then trying to help them build the model again when they have decided it was a good idea to give the new jet/helicopter.etc...... a test flight!! Drives me insane that they can never never put it back in a "safe" place but it must be all over the house for you to step on!

I have a set of Rocket Ron tyres that came with my Scott Spark. I want to know whether I can do a tubeless conversion (sick of punctures ) with them or do I have to buy new tyres as well. As far as I can tell they are just normal standard Rocket Rons. No EVO or UST that I can see. May even be foldable? They seem very "flimsy" when deflated. Is there a way I can tell if the tyre is suitable for tubeless conversion?

I am looking to join rides on the R512 side of Harties. Preferably early morning rides. I prefer road cycling but do a bit of MTBing as well. Any peeps out there I could join?

Had great service from them on the weekend as well. Funny click coming from freewheel hub. Took it in and they sorted it for me straight away stripping the freewheel hub and sorting the problem! No charge other than for a new cable I bought at the same time! Awesome service from CL once again! I dont take my bike anywhere else!
