Went for a ride on some of our club trails that I havent ridden for some time now.

Had nice run on the back roads around our beautiful valley this morning.

Should probably consider the skin cancer warning as I also work in shorts and shortsleeve shirt and spend 80% of my working day in the sun.Also my other hobby is fishing(more sun). Having said that my son is cursed with a fair skin and lighly gingered hair:ph34r: and my wife and I always see to it that he is properly protected when he is going to play outside.

Did the Funky Fynbos event in Gansbay yesterday.Was an amazing event with some beautiful views.Was to nackered to take photos,but my wife took this at the finish line.

Now thats a nice spot to chill.

Hey Goosebay,I thank you and the other organisers for a great event. I too had a feeling you were one of the guys at waterpoint 2 and I also enjoyed a short chat with you. Had to push my bike for most of that section as my legs were shot by then.I think having cycled from De Kelders via Grootbos to the event was a big contributing factor. Will contact you in the future as I come to Gansbaai to visit my folks once a month and would like to go ride these trails again sometime.

+1 on that,I am blessed with a slightly tanned skin,I dont wear sunblock and I dont like hats,so I sport a nice golden brown tan on my legs/arms/face all year round.

Yeah,from the videos it looks like a nice,rough,non pampered trail,with some nice climbs and rewarding downhills. I might opt to ride this one and enjoy the scenic views rather than race it.

So who else will be there this weekend,I've been looking forward to this event for a while now.

Think it would be best to consult youre LBS on the dis-asembly of the frame. But for starters you can call it a full-suspension or dual-suspension instead of softail. All the best with youre project.

A mate of mine has had 2 frames replaced by Momsen. First was his son's alu hardtail that cracked and as they had no stock they offered him a carbon frame at a huge discount. Second was his own alu dual-sus that cracked and was replaced within a week. I have however heard quite a few of these horror stories aswell so I am still undecided on my next purchase. We have two other big brand dealers in town aswell namely Scott and Merida and I have heard nothing bad about either of them.

My little man is also mixing it up between the Y-bike and the bicycle. Hes got the pedaling down on the bicycle and the balancing on the Y-bike,but cant seem to bring the two together. Thats why I want to get the balance bike,looks like the logical step inbetween.

Looking at getting my son one of these,he's stil struggling with balancing without the training wheels.

Another trip to Stettyn dam,today one of the guys had a ION bike mounted camera and we got some nice pics.

Also had a Suzuki GS450 for a while,my father had an accident with it,gave it to me,I fixed it up and 2months later a friend of mine smashed it up again.gave it to my brother after that.

There are so many nice bikes on here,almost forgot I was on a cycling forum. Black bike in the pic was my 1993 Yamaha XJR400,perfect commuter.Other one is my 1997 Suzuki GSXR750 SRAD. accident damaged bike converted to streetfighter.later on I made a custom top fairing for it,but currently rebuilding to streetfighter again.(the hooligan in me won the fight)

I personaly wouldnt pack heat on the bike.my wife and I ride together alot and I get very frustrated with her,it might end badly.
