Hey Wannabe and skidd.....Our group started out way too slow on the Blue Route (to get close to a sub-3), but what the heck do I know...it was my 1st Argus!! and it was bloody GREAT!! what an awesome ride and race!! My time was 3h11m39s officially!.....so glad I did not get close to the 3 hours, because I made a BIG mistake by only starting my Garmin, once we crossed the first mat.....stupid of me!! I lost the top guys in our group, when we caught the big group G bunch going up Smitswinkel....I battled to get past them and then chased like a mad man once over the top, but to no avail.....

What an awesome 1st Argus! Hot!! Group H struggled to get going....very happy with my time of 3h11m!

I'll look out for you and your buddy as well!! let's work together to make it happen!!

I am also in H.....wanna go for sub-3....have put in the training, now just to be ready on the day! Scott CR1 Pro....kit for race day still undecided..

DT Swiss rims and hubs on the Scott also better that the Giant wheelset......what does the Giant weigh? see that they have a whole story on why they do not post the weight....just weigh the bloody bike and post the weight and state it's for a Medium without or without pedals (for example!)!!!

Nothing wrong with Shimano 105's....they do the job at an excellent price! rather spend money elsewhere to save weight : 105 = 325grams....LOOK= 280grams......45grams difference. Rather invest in a GOOD pair of racing shoes......2012 S-Works!!

My Garmin Edge500 showed 1,228m for 2011 94.7...so agree with Ikonic's versions!! .....regardless what Argus total climbing is....I say....BRING IT ON!!!

ASG and myself have only had GOOD times!!....bidding on a pair of Comrades Rudy Rydons (and getting a free Rudy Project t-shirt thrown in).....and buying a Rudy Sterling helmet....it's a great company that is also putting money back into cycling via events sponsors, etc.!!!
