ASG and myself have only had GOOD times!!....bidding on a pair of Comrades Rudy Rydons (and getting a free Rudy Project t-shirt thrown in).....and buying a Rudy Sterling helmet....it's a great company that is also putting money back into cycling via events sponsors, etc.!!!

This is turning into an awesome race to do and to get some much needed racing hours in the saddle.....again the Joberg2C/Berg2C guys, as well as the Hoerskool Reitz organisers put on a great 2012 event with some awesome single tracks and riding..... The rain the night before made things interresting again with some mud patches here and there, but the weather on the day was 100%. Craig (Whappo) shortened the race by some 6/7km's and in the end the 84km Bielie Mielie MTB race distance was spot on!! . Watering tables and markings were also excellent!! Thank goodness for Coke at the last watering table, beacause I needed it desperately after starting out way too fast and hitting the wall at around the 50km mark . Don't be in any doubt.... this race and route is tough when going all out....and taking mud and clay into account here and there on route!! Thanks again for a wonderful race and experience!! AND the Bielie Mielie Fees also had lekka food and eishcold beers!! .....now I'm almost race ready for my Argus!! .....I'll be back (Arnold Schwarzenegger voice....)

Thx! It was my 1st Ride4Sight on Sunday.....I thoroughly enjoyed it and found everything perfect....especially winning the GL group!! yeah! I can't see how the organisers can be held responsible for the road conditions....the state of our SA roads is unfortunately going backward day by day...!! But, what do I know, I am only a MTB'er trying road racing....

Is parkering by Hamiltons Rugby Klub 'n nagmerrie.....sorry ek's maar 'n Gautenger...

It was my 1st Ride for Sight and second road race after last year's 94.7.......it was Brilliant! My start group of GL rode lekka, but I dropped them in Heidelberg (my home town! ) with the Overkruin climb....happy with my time of 3:11.....now Argus

Reseeded by the Argus Committee from Group M to Group H (6h48)....thanks guys, appreciate it! .....that's even further motivation to get up a 4am tomorrow to train in order to give that sub 3 a GO!!!

My 2 cents.....firstly, I do think that it has lost its appeal....Mr Vermaak and his team will have re-think the setup, but I do not see it getting cheaper ......secondly, I think it is indeed priced too high (especially for SA citizens) .......the Pro's and overseas riders can do the EPIC and get their UCI points (pro's).....we'll do the Cape Pioneer Trek!
