  1. Nice 1 Patches Those are sweet machines.
  2. As a die hard (or at least I think so) Morewood fan, I'm curious to see how many owners there are out there seeing as though most of the production is exported. There is no doubting the popularity of the brand but at the Sani2c I was surprised at only seeing 5 or 6 bikes.
  3. Good bush mechanics in that case
  4. dude whats that cable running down the top tube?
  5. I can vouch for terry and Xterra! Great wetsuits and better service!
  6. They nuts. It's jutifiable for 70.3 or full IM to charge a packet, but for a 3 hour event they have lost their marbles. Saying that, Ill probably do the CT one, just for the tshirt
  7. I know that. U missed my point. I think you should attempt this if you have done a full IM as the IM course in PE seems to be alot easier than this. I want to do PE before attempting this monster.
  8. Anyone out there know how the kwela 29er compares to the other frames on the market? I dig the looks of it and think it should be the next project bike of mine seeing as though I have a zula already
  9. This race looks mental. I reckon if you have done a full IM then you should give this a go. I personally want to do a full IM before doing something like this.
  10. anyone out there got a kwela 29er? they look shweeet Ill say it again, 26inch dual sus, you cant beat a zula
  11. Look no further than a zula. Its an absolute treat to ride and the harder your ride it the better it gets. Also the singe pivot is the easiest from a service and maintenance point of view.
  12. Like they say, looks like I opened a can of worms. Glad Im not the only person having this experience. So the obvious fixes seem to be a hard case, Ill try that, but hell luggage isn't cheap. Im still going to have a go at them, just for the fun of it now.
  13. I dont ever shrink wrap my stuff. The way I look at it, if they want in they will make a plan regardless. I'm definitely going to try escalate this as far as possible and cause as much of a stink as I can. I will keep this thread updated and use it as 'blackmail' against ACSA and BidAir because this is ridiculous. Another thought, their security system is useless. In israel for example they scan your bag BEFORE you check in and if there is any dodgy ****, they check it there and then with you there so when its a bomb they arrest your ass. Whereas in this backward end of the world they scan it down in the dungeon, then when they find something 'suspicious' they cut open your bag and do some shopping while proving that the suspicious item was in fact a tyre lever or something like that. Im not letting this one slip.
  14. After a great Sani2c Im left with a bitter taste after those f@#$%$# at OR Tambo went through my bag for the second time this year. They helped themselves to a Salomon jacket I got at the event for my wife as well as broke my lock and zipp on my bag. This happened on the way to 70.3 in January also leaving from OR Tambo. My question is, I think BidAir are responsible for the baggage at the airport? Im sick of these monkeys and Im gonna try my best to escalate this as high as possible. Between 2 flights these @ssholes have cost me 2 suitcases, an ipod and a jacket! Anyone out there had similar experiences or have advice for me? I really wanna give them a good go this time. I let it slide in January but now Im Gatvol.
  15. I was referring to 70.3 by saying entries are gonna fly out
  16. Indeed they are. 2500 or something
  17. no way the entry fee will be R2799. Thats more than 70.3, and almost the price of full IM If it is they just retarded coz no one will enter it.
  18. You are on the right site. Entries haven't opened yet. They gonna fly out though when they do.
  19. Thug, I have been thinking about it and probably will do it. My plan is to do the jailbreak in CT in Dec as well as 70.3 in Jan. After those I'll have a better idea of if I could go through with it. How was yours?
  20. he's a machine! Any idea when 70.3 entries open? They gonna fly out
  21. Apologies dudette It is all about balance. Life happens, routines change, the gym cant always be fitted in. But as long as I keep to the basics of the eating plan then I'm ok. The weight does fluctuate, but its been within a zone now for the past 5 years. I'm a passionate foodie. I couldn't imagine life without delicious food, coffee, chocolate and wine. Just gotta balance it like you said
  22. Bravo! Well said dude. As a once overweight guy I cannot agree with you more. Dieting is nonsense in my mind. Food is about education and understanding the ins and outs of what it is that you are eating and what it is your body needs. Any of those silly diets recommending paw paw day and night for 3 weeks is a load of garbage. I'm not saying I'm perfect or at my goal weight. I like most people could cut out some booze and chocolates, then I would be closer to my ideal weight. But what I will say echos what FitDietician said. It takes time, generally a longer time than any of us want and this is the ONLY way to do it for one reason and one reason only sustainability. My advice to anyone is get an eating plan. Understand what a plate should and should'nt be made up of at what times of the day. There is a thing as the better option when out at restaurants. And certain take aways are actually healthy, like Nandos. You need someone to explain this to you. Ultimately you will learn about food and new foods. Foods with bright colours that taste delicious, but are at the same time healthy! Food is meant to be enjoyed with family and friends. Now if you only eating fruit for an entire week, I dont care how good the fruit is but you wont be enjoying it after Day2! Its a life long journey, there is no quick fix.
