  1. No, camel toes are generally pleasant and nice to look at
  2. When exactly did you escape from the room with the padded white walls?
  3. You are one unique cookie my friend.
  4. Seems like DH riders have a similar arrogance to the beloved roadie.
  5. Whats with the anti XC vibes? I went to Tokai this weekend and went up the mast actually. Yes its a tar road but its flippen steep and a great workout as well. The fact that its on tar doesn't matter because the real fun at Tokai is the single tracks which we did plenty of on the way down. So ja, I dont see your point there. Also accidents happen. If I or you were to GD forbid fall and be in such a bad way that the paramedics deem a helicopter necessary then I would be very happy to have it fly all the way there for me. Trust me they only call for a helicopter if the injuries are serious and the evacuation is difficult. Besides, its not a waste of the city's resources as its a private business who do it which is generally covered by the medical aids. So in conclusion stop talking k@k.
  6. Ive had the max flite gel flow for ages now. Not the sleekest of the ones youve mentioned but I find it very very very comfortable. When I sold my old bike, it wasn't part of the sale coz I love it so much. Dont think Ill ever replace it unless it breaks for some reason.

    Good Products

Red Hot products degreaser is fantastic. Will easily remove the chrome off a towbar. Available at the lab for +-R100 a can.
  8. The transition onto the dirt from the tar is pretty rough there. Lots of big loose rocks all over the show and you coming down usually at one helluva speed. We came down from the mast on Sunday and were easily doing 34/40kmh when we hit the dirt road. That dirt is really loose and you slip and slide all over the show. Hopefully he makes a full recovery. Gad to hear that the rescue services were responsive.
  9. I got a morewood hoody as well as some t's. Just like the zula the quality is terrific. Yes the fit is fitted so maybe order a size bigger than usual if you dont like a fitted T. They also pretty cheap at R100 for a T. You gotta fly the flag guys!
  10. Get the spez prevail, looks great and weighs nufin.
  11. Agreed! Some okes have too much irrelevance to add to everything
  12. go get a book by joe friel on training for mountainbiking. all you need to know.
  13. I thought you found one? This is going to look awesome!
  14. Good luck dude! I cant believe that SAPS are so useless that there is a known seller of stoeln stuff and he continues to stay in business! FFS shut the b@stard down
  15. I agree with Chubbas comment. When they spring themselves on you, your reaction time has gotta be ultra (Bruce Lee) quick to spray them. Don't forget that the wind plays a factor as well and you could land up spraying yourself! I was also there last night with Chubba and also couldn't believe that there were 2 incidents in the same night. The only thing we can do is stick to riding in groups. Capricorn you should join us on a Thursday evening. We leave Deer Park round 5:30ish and ride for about 2 hours.
  16. Also a great looking bike. Dude it comes down to which one talk to you. At that level they all pretty much the same. go for the one which speaks to you and makes you want to ride it. As Ghostface says, the Giant is also an excellent machine, probably the best out of what you mentioned above, but again its a bit more expensive.
  17. I visited GUMBO when I was in EAst London this year for 70.3 Decent shop, friendly staff, would definitely give them a punt. Always comes down to price unfortunately. I got my AR4 from SBR Sport in Sunninghill. Got great service from Mike and it came with a proper setup for both road as well as TT. He marked off both saddles, marked the tri bars etc etc. Dont regret the purchase one bit, love the bike to bits and still think its the way to go for peeps who dont want to buy a bike solely for TT
  18. Entry level and aero are difficult to put together. In the end it all comes down to budget. Look at the cervelo S1. Its an aero aluminium frame. Not sure if they still make it though, but its far cheaper than the carbon varieties. For carbon a complete bike will start around 25k. How much TT riding are you going to do? If you only planning on using the bike for Triathlon say 3 or 4 times a year then a TT bike is probably a waste of time because you can get a proper road bike and use it more often. I couldn't justify money on a bike to use only a few times a year so I went for a 'dual purpose' road bike instead. Then again I have no idea what your budget is and if you can afford and justify it go for it.
  19. If its between those I would go for the raleigh. I faced a similar predicament last year and opted to go for the FELT AR4. At the time this was the best bet for me as I got an upgrade on my road bike and a bike that I can use very well for Tri as its an aero frame. I got a tri saddle and clip on bars for when it becomes a TT bike. Best of both worlds in my opinion.
  20. Game over for the day at least Eina! Tarmac is an unforgiving surface!
