  1. This is going to turn out to be GORGEOUS!
  2. This thread is hilarious. Some classic chirps over the past 3 pages. Pity about the k@k service. Gordon Ramsay coined it in one of his 'kitchen nightmare' episodes. The thing about good service is that................ ITS JUST COMMON SENSE. Sadly the owners of Teak let a bunch of palookas run the restaurant and cause them a headache.
  3. I bought my saris from them a couple years ago. Great company, great products & great service!
  4. Thats a steal. May just get my zula a christmas present one of these days
  5. Chubba thats cheap, I would have thought it would be in the region of R2k for everything. Im sure that they can spray it in whatever colours they have? The 2010 izimu was in that candy red, looks hot.

  7. Candy red is gorgeous chubba! The lime green and burnt orange are also lekker but very pimping, which I guess is also awesome. Also consider what colour the fork is and the wheels that you putting on Now Ill never be able to keep up on the downhills Guess I better work on getting to the top quicker

  9. who caught them? the cops or vigilantes?
  10. This is just again so bladdy sad and irritating. From what I can put together the majority of the attacks happen around diepsloot area also incidents out and around the informal settlements irene way. Another suggestion is to start riding in more remote places. Granted its a huge mission coz you have to drive out there etc etc and that all takes time, but I cant think of a quick fix to this problem. Diepsloot is just too big a place with too many places to hide. My opinion is to stay as far clear of townships and informal settlements as possible.

Try loosen the front straps of your shoes. I used to get bad pins and needles until I did that. The first 2 straps should just be closed, no tension. the top strap should be nice and vas.
  12. Oak Valley is rocking rocking rocking!!! That place is tooooooooo much fun :)
  13. Being new here I am not too familiar with the physios in town. Ben to Geoff Foat a few times who is excellent but also out of town alot. Any suggestions? I hate the physios who slap machines on you and then leave you for half an hour. Looking for a session of physical torture with purpose. In my mind the only way to get better
  14. Interesting. For those that dont know the 220-Age formula was developed by surgeons many years aog as a way for heart surgery patients to gauge how far they could push themselves after surgery. So in short the formula is a load of rubbish for people like me and you wanting to excercise based on heart rate. So where does that leave all of us? A good example is a friend of mine who is a runner. He decided to purchase a HRM and continued his normal training. To his shock he discovered that after a few hille his heart rate was 220bpm when the formula said it should be max 190ish. Off he goes to the GP who says there is nothing wrong with him but that he should see a cardiologist. Then he goes to the cardiologist and the doc says he get 3/4 patients a month all who have purchased a HRM and now think they are dying. The docs message is that everyone is different and that the only way to find your max is to be tested for it. I confirmed this at a dinner a few months ago where there was a cardiologist there. So, In order to find out your max go to a cardiologist where he will punish you on a treadmill or find a decent hill and give it horns (serious horns) 5 times and take the highest reading from that. The discrepancy may be 7 or 8 bpm, or it may be nothing when comparing to the formula. When I use the formula it says my max is 193, however I know that if I hit 193 Ill probably be dead because I can barely hit 180 when pushing like an animal. So my max is 180. The most important is that you have a HRM where you can input your max and set the HR to % of MAX. Heart rate is'nt everythig in training but its a pretty decent yardstick!
  15. Beg to differ................Morewood Zula
  16. Agreed. There is no way that they have perfected the 29er yet. They have only been mainstream for 2 years max. Im in the same boat as you. Ill wait until they have had a good few years to experiment with the geo's, materials and most importantly the feedback from the market.
  17. Chubba now your ibis dream has come true!
  18. Well said! You took the words out of my mouth
  19. Doesn't bother me. Was never intending on selling it. Ill give that bike to my kid one day, its THAT good.
