  1. That being said, to answer your question about lenses for the M2... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33052442452.html
  2. Get my replacement lenses from AliExpress. Yep fakes. Have I gone blind, no. And tests show they are as good.
  3. Same situation, but never really stopped riding. Also manged to have 2 kids in the last 8 or so years, and keep them alive. This is my 26er, this was purchased just when 29ers became mainstream (around 2011), but I convinced myself a 29er was overrated and I've still got a stack of very good 26er parts to upgrade the bike with. So it was bought new, and pimped it. And then in late 2012 I got my first 29er hardtail. And since then, albeit for maybe 5 rides, this bike has been on the wall since. In the meantime two more 29er dual sus bikes joined the family so the Merida is now 4th in line. Pretty much as pimp as a 26er can be (My wife took ownership of the X0 jockey, so I replaced it with an X7). Unused. But with 26ers being essentially worthless these days on the open market, there is no way to get even a 3rd for it compared to what I paid. So... its worth more to me by being on the wall gathering dust.
  4. Eish. Well, I'm not buying another watch just to be able to get Vitality points. It will have to wait until this watch dies.
  5. Well that's what I needed to find out, but not what I hoped to hear. Yes, it does have a comment at the bottom saying the workout is from SyncMyTracks. Are you aware of any application I can push a workout to that Vitality will accept? SyncMyTracks can push to a variety of applications web and mobile.
  6. 1) This data will show up in SHealth as exercises. 2) I am not currently on Vitality. I will sign up if this "hack" works, but basically need a month's "demo" on it. 3) My watch isn't supported, but a GPX file is a GPX file... Yeah it might have a few custom tags, but still.
  7. And I've done countless hard races for like 3 to 4 years in R399 Mr Price shoes. And still use them today.
  8. Last January I rolled my ankle by doing a run everyone told me I shouldn't do, as I was prepping for another big event and the run was too risky. Did it, and destroyed my LEFT ankle. About 2 weeks into wearing my moonboot and using my crutches while crutching myself down the passage at home, I manage to catch my RIGHT small toe on the crutch on the swing through - bending it 90 degrees - breaking it. Blue and purple toe. So now had a bust left ankle that I couldn't really put weight on, and a right foot... that I really couldn't put weight on.
  9. I think I still have a box full of Hub bracelets.
  10. I can't see how that could fail any further than that? There is probably enough "meat" for the bolt to pull against, and then saddle rails doesn't come near there. I just would have carried on riding. Maybe just superglue it down for aesthetics, but otherwise, keep on trucking.
  11. I got R300 bibs, a few pairs, from AliExpress. Never gave me saddle sores or any other discomfort or issues or made me think I'd get that Strava KOM if only I had Assos bibs. Happy.
  12. I usually keep a few spares of the needed length. Take the cassette off if needed. Remove the old spoke, and in the same way thread the new spoke back in, lacing it through the other spokes as needed. If the old nipple is still in the rim and usable, bend the new spoke and stick it into the spokenipple, being careful not to push the nipple into the rim cavity. Helps when the new spoke is pointing upwards so that gravity can help with the job. Turn the spokenipple untill it takes. Then I normally put the wheel back in the bike and use the frame as the trueing stand, just adjusting that one spoke until the wheel is straight again. Anyway, that's me. And been doing it for years.
  13. I had a couple of comments on this thread, can't find them now. Deleted and if so why?
  14. Nah, I'm too old to be baited into butthurt responses. I just know I've been doing this ish for 25 years and can appreciate a nice solid bike, having gone through quite a few bikes and brands throughout the years. Use it, don't use it.
  15. I have a Vipa Trail One. Love it. All around bike that I haven't been able to push to its limits. Did Trans Baviaans on it last year. Chainstay flex? Dunno who said that. That bike is solid. If you lock the rear shocks out its stiffer than a hardtail.

    Fake Sunglasses

Above R&D and paying staff and premises etc... price is more often than not driven by the market. They know full well what people will pay for sunglasses, and thats what they'll charge. Oakley can sell those glasses for half the price and still make a huge profit, but why, when the market has been tested to be happy to pay R3000 for a set.

Thanks, that's my ******* plan, imho. Never had a problem, don't plan on having a problem either. My feeling, not scientific, is the same as this guy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy10_v-3Sp4

Fearmongering. So this article has scientific evidence that a legit glass wouldn't have broken?
