  4. That's what happens when you think in Afr and write in English.... the Oregon was free...
  5. Some of my recent "projects"... Kitchen re-done Dec 2014 - entirely with Oregon wood floor planks recovered from a demolished house. (which I got for free....) Butcher's block made at same time. Top was saturated with liquid paraffin.
  6. I don't do woodwork like you lot, bit I love old things, and have restored a fair amount of old furniture and stuff.... And I agree with most said... don't know about the linseed oil though... but after properly cleaning old wood I use Woodoc - first coat 50-50 with turps, then 60-40, then 80-20 and then good ole pure Woodoc, with light wipe with steel wool in between.
  7. Nope, not as far as I know. Except if you come right at registration.. Maybe try this... https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/159223-mtbing-backpackers-in-dullstroom/?hl=dullstroom

  14. Ultrega.
  15. Found this. Any thoughts on it please?
  16. Judd, how did you detect it? Routine check up, or pain, or how?
  17. I went for my regular annual routine check-up last year August, manual test was fine, but PSA was up from 3.2 to 4.8. So he wanted to do biopsy immediately, with course in antibiotics for possible infection after biopsy... It was 2 months before our long planned trip to cycle the Camino de Santiago in Spain, so THAT would have placed the whole trip (paid for already by that time) in jeopardy. So I phoned my mate- medical dr in Canada- he sent me medical research articles wherein it was confirmed that it is a well known fact that serious cycling might significantly indicate raised PSA levels. His advice: stop cycling for 10 days and re-do the test. So I did- went cycling in Spain, stayed of my bike for 10 days thereafter, and went for the test again... PSA back down to 3.4...
  18. The cell numbers all belong to different people, but then I guess you knew that...
  19. Has anyone seen a Mamba standing tall? Yip. Riding on mine road outside town few months ago, a Large one went across the road about 50 metres ahead of me. I say it went across the road, as it wasn't sailing... it was standing as tall as I was on my bike furiously going at a swarm of birds harassing it...
  20. This pic was taken a day after we rode that road...
  21. True. Ask my wife. She was chased by Black Mamba whilst cycling...
  22. OMW... what is that? A Quadrant? Where? What? How? More pics please......????
  23. That was the idea- plus some moolas- just wanted to know ballpark more or less- thanks.
  24. Sorry to bring this back, I'm looking to maybe make an offer on this bike. Any ideas to value anyone please?
  25. Thanks for replying Eppie. I didn't get that good a look, pulled the guy off next to a very busy road, had a few quick words and exchanged phone numbers. It has a Campagnolo Mirage 8 or 9 on Wolber rims- looked original as well...
