  1. Facebook tells me it’s exactly 10 years to the day I did my first Ironman down in PE. Feels like yesterday. Was an incredible journey for me and caused me to realise anything is possible. Couch to Ironman in 18 months. I dug so deep that day, still remember hobbling down the back section in the dark by the university feet bleeding from wearing wrong socks. But, I had the tattoo booked in j bay for the Tuesday and no farking way was I not going to finish. 2015 was the 2 x 90 km loop with a fair amount of climb and the wind was mostly against us. But I digress… Best wishes to all the folks doing it as a write this, following online. and we want write ups so us lazy buggers can live it vicariously.
  2. Took the RF out yesterday for a ride to meet a mate. Every time I ride this I am reminded what a great bike this is. Stable as anything and just soooo smooth. needs a good clean though, winter riding has taken its toll.
  3. He’ll fix it.

  5. Confirmed now. could be a major step backwards for yuki.
  6. Rumour mill in overdrive…yuki to RB
  7. Those of a certain age will remember this movie. https://www.bbc.com/culture/article/20250320-the-true-story-of-the-great-escape
  8. Hope they build more sources of power. and Kahn the **** charges me 12.50 for my old diesel to drive in London but allows unfettered expansion of dirty air transport.
  9. Ferrari disqualified, gasly disqualified…shambles. racing bulls should have had p5 and p6 but for stupid strategy. tsunado must be eyeing that redbull seat
  10. I am still learning how to ride this monster. It’s tiny for a 1000 cc motorcycle and it turns on a tickey. Weights next to nothing and has a huge surge of torque. Can’t take it over 6000 rpm while running in but reality is there is plenty fun under 6k anyway. Accelerates like a rocket and weird seeing as it only has 110 hp. Feels twitchy but maybe a dampener could give it some stability though the forums say nothing to worry about. it’s a hellova lot of fun, what biking is about really, fun.
  11. My vote would be instinct 3…good looking watch and it has a flashlight. yeah, most folks discount the flashlight u til you have it then you realise how lekker it is to have. Also acts as my back up for night runs in the evening the headtorch fails.
  12. Cool movie on Prime called The underdog, the Andy swallow story. delves into the ICF, the old West Ham firm. Good understanding of 1970,s England and the hardships that prevailed at the time which gave rise to the firms and punk etc etc. when I lived in London in the 80’s for a short while one of my roommates was a West Ham fan and we would go down to Upton Park sometimes on a Saturday. Walked down green street etc, never did the fight thang being a coward and liking my teeth but did go to the pubs and places in the area. Different place and time then. anyway, a good fliek for a bit of nostalgia. And history. Another reason these huge concrete monstrosities will never have the romance of the old grounds.
  13. 5 years ago today, Boris locked us down. The rest tis history.
  14. Yeah, amoled seems to be the screen of choice these days. I prefer the less flash screens as I don’t need amoled for a watch. When not in use I use it as a watch and it works just fine and has all the health stats that it tracks which is important to me. all the other smart watches are amoled these days, Apple, Samsung etc. I hope garmin keeps the old fashioned screens on enduro range indefinitely. my mate has a fenix 8 and we compared , look, no 2 ways about it, the screen is lush but it’s a feature I don’t need.
  15. Unashamed garmin groupie here. They just work, and work so well. Always had a garmin but moved to enduro this iteration as I don’t need amoled and I won’t be doing any diving any time soon ( read ever) so left the fenix family and got Enduro 3. The battery life is astounding and the new solar “panel” works extremely well. ( amoled does not have solar either). Solar is essentially a ring around the face. Solar works way better than it did on the 7 and a few Sundays ago the battery percentage increased by 2 percent after a day in the sun at a picnic. Never seen that before. But if solar is ultimately worthwhile is up to you. In my case I thought it would be ( even though I live in uk 😂 ) I just like battery life even if I will never do an event that justifies hundreds of hours of battery life. In my opinion the battery life advertised is generally quite close if not on the money as per the garmin website so its trustworthy. if you want flash screen, amoled. If not the instinct is a very viable offering. It will do everything you need it to do at a good price. I went large (51) a few iterations ago, was apprehensive at first as I have thin ish wrists but one gets used to it very quickly and now will keep to that size, the improved battery life is worth it.
  16. As predicted no finishers but one guy completed the fun run. What a beast of a course this year but given last years results no surprises it got tougher.
  17. Bikes just cost money. Close eyes and pay. my monster coming up for 600 mile service. Essentially an oil change. Quoted 325 pounds. It hurts me deeply cos I could do it for less than 50. Adjust the chain etc. but then I would lose the warranty and we all know Ducati warranty is worth gold. 🤣
  18. Rumour mill in overdrive
  19. If I had the coin I would have both.
  20. Excellent footie movie. The club that George built. On discovery. Proper grass roots football. features Worthing fc. Team in the 6 th tier. Farnborough beat them a few weeks ago away. Currently top of league. Seeing as farnborough can’t win it hope Worthing do.
