    When we were lighties we rode our 50s to Durban on more than one occasion. Would take a whole day and then A bit more. Bout 15 hours along the old route. But we were manly 16 year olds then. reckon an adventure on a monkey bike would leave me needing a chiropractor. But a 125 or 250 single and I would be keen.

    I said at the beginning of the year I did not believe lando has it in him to be champ, he just too nice a guy, well, I eat my words. Well done lando. and another Belgian wins the championship. Belgians ruled the F1 world for the last 5 years. 😂. somehow piastri lost his way but next season he will be back. max has to be the driver of the season though. Let’s face it, he is the pinnacle of the sport.

    Met Tony Cottee last night. He of West Ham fame and played for England at one point. Nice guy, but you would hardly think he had the stature of a football legend. Players these days are way more physical I reckon. He is way shorter than I am ( I am 1.90). interesting fellow , had some great stories about shenanighans and goings on back in the old days of football.

    my wife’s folks used to ride down to the ace in the late 50s early 60s on his triumph.

    The cost per unit on Garmin products is probably very low. It’s the intel and development costs that are the biggest expense I reckon. easier to offer replacements than haggle. Garmin know they have you for life. Most Garmin folks will not move to another brand as loyalty is fairly high.

    Events here in the UK offer an insurance of cancellation and/or insurance if you have an issue and can’t make the event. It normally adds a few quid per entry if you elect to take the insurance. so it certainly is possible to do on a personal level, maybe organisers could take out an insurance and pass the costs down per entry.
