  1. Taking this car to my grave. 105000km on the clock.Just wish it had an aircon. Not really car porn but who's judging...
  2. I'm not into flyfishing myself but a friend of mine makes custom nets etc. and he's always willing to give advice...Mario Geldenhuys www.customflyrods.co.za
  3. Build muscle and fitness in the gym.Lose weight in the kitchen.
  4. I do weight training 4 times a week and cycle only on weekends.I maintain body weight but I'm slowly losing body fat.. The meal plan: 5 teaspoons of Future Life cereal in the morning after each workout. Sometimes an apple as a morning snack.Lunch is 2-3 Ryvita cakes with plain fat free cottage cheese..Sometimes I'd put on some powdered biltong on smoked ham. In the evenings I try to eat before 19:30..Chicken or fish and mixed veggies. I also drink loads of water during the day.
  5. Awesom thanks..Was also looking at the dropper seat post..Appreciate the feedback.
  6. Cleats was my first upgrade as my feet sometimes slipped of my pedals at the worst of times..Could be why my BB isn't holding up..If I see Diamond markings I always ride it to see if it's is worthy of the sign and give feedback.
  7. I bought Gaint Talon 1 27.5 in May this year..Loving the bike after each km more more but I feel it's time to upgrade some of the components. Specifically the BB..It picks up lots of dust and mud and after every third ride it gets creaky then I need to put on some grease again.. PS. I don't want to upgrade to another bike although it would've been nice Here are the bike specs: http://www.giant-bic...#specifications Crankset FSA MegaExo 42/32/24 Bottom Bracket FSA MegaExo BB Advice from this great community of cyclist will be greatly appreciated. Should have probably added the riding style.. Fast flowing single track and rock gardens..and the more technical it is the better.. I've upgraded my pedals and had a proper bike fit done. 1.69m & weigh 84kg..
  8. You unwillingly did the ice bucket challenge.

  11. The bike that makes you feel like you're going to win some races and really improve your overall cycling is the right bike for you.
  12. That is the funniest thing I've read all day..I cant stop laughing.hiding behind my pc screen @ work
  13. I've got a Giant Talon 1..Do 40km+ rides on weekends and I really push the bike to its limits. If it's rocky and twisty I'll try and ride it..It's only given me smiles as the wind flows through hair while I rip it through single track and battle out some technical climbs..

  15. When it turns into a drinking event instead of a sporting event.
  16. Had a great group ride with the guys from Cycle Mania @ Watermeyer Center today...My first 60km ride..It was tough but loads of fun.
  17. I was also leaning towards the fenix 2 but after reading a crap load of reviews and comparing charts I'm starting to think the Fenix 1 is a good option..After all the updates it has received it is pretty much the exact same watch as the fenix 2..The main difference is the swimming metrics..Both watches are waterproof and the Fenix 2 has an inverted display.. anyway for those looking into Polar RCX/RC line up..Totalsports are selling them at 50% discount in Menlyn Mall.
  18. I'm 84kg and run tubed tires @ 2.0 rear and 1.9 front and I hit the trails hard...Haven't had any snakebites..Touch wood..As soon as the tires are finished I'll be converting to tubeless.
  19. Stumbled upon this site for those who are interested in importing items.. http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/
  20. If I end up doing this I'd be making a half-way stop to the gym in the morning.I could live with it If they steel a R2000 second hand bike but im not going to be impressed if my MTB is gone..Not that I think i'ts likely to happen but I've seen it happen at another gym before..The bike frame was there but no front wheel.
  21. Don't know if this is the right forum to ask the question but I plan on commuting to work and I'd rather buy a second hand bike than mess up my MTB tyres..So should I buy a SS or Geared bike...I'ts about 10km to work..Riding from Soutpansberg to Faerie Glen..fair amount of hills.. Any advice would be appreciated.
  22. Going to a group ride at Watermeyer Center..Not sure how many people..A friend just told me about it and said to meet him there.
  23. If it's on an MTB I'll join to do about 40km..Doing my first half marathon end of August..
  24. The only reason I'm not that interested in any of the Suunto products is because you need to upload apps to the watch to get features like virtual pace..The possibilities in creating apps are probably endless but f I just paid R5500+ I'd expect everything to be ready as soon as I take it out the box..That being said The Suunto 3 does look like it has some cool features like the camera and using your phone as the watch interface that's pretty cool.. Anybody know if you import a Garmin product if the warranty will be valid in SA.
