  1. I've been waiting for Mamil's ride/race/rude report and now my day is complete. I'm literally moer toe from laughing
  2. As @Mamil said - "Be careful what hell you create when fighting the good fight."
  3. Again, the track program didn't disappoint last night... Unless you were the German women and Italian men pursuit teams.... But golly, the Dutch men sprint team are something else. As Eurosport commentators noted, everyone would have been happy to give them gold 6 months ago. And they delivered As with all the top performances, it's so good to see things work out perfectly. But I guess that goes for all of life in the world.
  4. Last night's program was intense. women's team sprint... world records after world record. and then the men's team pursuit - was fantastic to see. And of course the Dutch men's team sprint—just give them gold already.
  5. FWIW, the track program begins this afternoon. Some usual suspects will be there too - Viviani, Morkov... Personally, I really enjoy it as it's contained and a proper spectator event. And the team events are great to watch with really well-drilled teams.
  6. For those with access to Discovery+, there is a doccie on Greg Minnaar there
  7. https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/nickolas-dlamini - how up to date is Procycling stats? latest says 2022
  8. Great race. one for the ages
  9. Hatherly back on with top 2 Hatherly's race has been more measured with fewer massive efforts, unless sticking with Pidcock blew a few matches
  10. Pidcock now in 2nd and pulling Hatherly along. Now 5sec to lead
  11. Hatherly looking comfy, holding steady, 10s off the lead in 2nd. Bigger gap behind him to Gaze who is in a group of 3 and looking good
  12. My gravel makes your gravel look like the Olympic velodrome - only smoother
  13. Big Mig was the champ of the 70km ITT. That will exclude so many of the peloton from GC standings, and I suspect organisers see TTT as similar - having the GC favourites get excluded from being ultimately competitive because they had a poor team effort was perhaps seen as detracting from the overall competition? But it's face it, seeing a well-drilled team in a TTT is pretty special. EDIT - I can imagine a poorly measured effort on a 70km ITT will see boatloads of time shipped
  14. I'm very curious how you arrived at these opinions.
  15. It's a curious endeavour. If Pog is able to sit on Jonas' wheel it looks like VLAB are getting some nice screen time for their sponsors up front
  16. Punditry is in the ear of the beholder I guess. Cycling Dane, Lanterne Rouge, and Horner all give different perspectives to me and I feel they are of more value than the random hot takes from Discovery+ talking heads, McEwan and Kelly excepted.
  17. My man, Victor Campanaerts! Chris Horner is very marmite-y, but knows his stuff and I'm enjoying his insights and hand-waving.
  18. well, a good game of cycling bingo would be 'name the impossible things Pog has made possible' as cycling fans, we are truly blessed to be witnessing the current generation
  19. It looks like Pog will take this Tour, so my question is: how great will the temptation be to enter the Vuelta in a bid for all 3 GT's in a calendar year?
  20. What model Ultegra is this?
  21. @'Dale - thanks for raising this awareness... there are more important things. It's good to just stop sometimes and reflect on what's important. To see this happening unfold in mainstream media is good. Jonas' vulnerability on show in an environment where being super-tough wins the day is an important thing I can learn from.
  22. What you're looking for is a ladder! Jokes aside, try Csixx
  23. He wasn't a rando they found on Zwift.
  24. ya, with Adam Yates... that pretty much dooms the break's chances the way it stands I think
