  1. Thank you blackheart, worked like charm. New question, I keep hearing and feeling a grinding noise coming from my crank. Its only there when I apply power or force. It feels like the chain is grinding on the front chainring. Anybody know what it could be?
  2. I think its also got to do with people who have no idea what the current prices are. Not everybody is constantly checking new bikes outs, they probably buy something now then sell it over 5 years and think not much has changed.
  3. Cant find a relevant forum so I'm going with this one. Hope someone might know what my problem is. My GX 12 derailleur seems to have a clicking motion every quarter turn of the pedal, looks like the chain is getting stuck or jumping on the top pully wheel causing the derailleur to jump but this only happens on the small tooth of my cassette. its a bit better if I have the tensioner screw all the way in, but you can still feel it. Also the derailleur needs to be set on the far right limit, to the point were the chain drops. Unfortunately I don't have a LBS who can help.
  4. Thank guys, cant wait for my first ride. Just have a few small adjustments to make and she will be perfect. Thank for all the advise and help.

  8. Seems stock has been a big issue lately, summits bikes are really good, bike addict (cheap pricing) but I think it also depends on what you want. Been jumping between quite a few shops to find parts.
  9. Hey guys, anybody riding a JEFFSY Comp or something similar? Need dimension for the rear axle. Shank length - Thread length - Total length - Thread pitch should be 1.5 The Axle I want to get will be as below. Shank length 152mm Thread length 21mm Total length 173mm Thread pitch 1.5
  10. Also maybe something to add. The inner rim width is 30mm
  11. Ok you got me sold on "they look better"
  12. Needs some advice on 29er tyres. So I've been wondering about what size tyre to get. I've always liked a 2.5 on my enduro bikes and felt they help with sandy conditions, but I'm not sure if it might be too much on my new build. The new bike will be more trail orientated, long-distance riding as kathu has almost no mountains and loads of sand, do I look for a slimmer tyre with less rolling resistance or stay with a wider tyre for all conditions?? thinking of getting a maxxis aggressor 2.5 for the rear and a maxxis assegai 2.5 for the front.
  13. I agree with the_bob just checking from the classifieds you can get a bike like this, https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/dual-suspension-bikes/415106/rocky-mountain
