I would like to get a towbar mounted platform bike carrier for 3 bikes and cannot bring myself to spend Thule kind of money. The next best seems to be the Menabo range. What is the difference between the Race 3 Project and the Winny Plus 3 besides about R1300.00 ? It would be for either of my 2 bikes (full sus 29'er and roadie) and/or my wife's hardtail (27.5") or my son's 20" kid's bike.

I don't have good pictures of my Hope Tech Evo X2 brakes, but they are slightly pimped with braided hoses and XT shifter mounts. They are in good company with rotors & adaptor, a rear skewer, headset, bar plugs and of course hubs.

Have you considered the Pivot Mach 4 29 carbon? The Rocky Mountain Element 970 looks attractive too.

My partner binned it last week and broke his arm. Most of my mates are either riding already, too fit for me, not fit enough, broke or busy on the weekend, so I am in a bit of a situation. I am not sure if I want to sell my entry, or ride with someone selected randomly from a Joe Public poll...
