If you are running a tubeless set-up on your bike, wouldnt it make sense to choose the UST versions? I have the Mountain King 2.2" UST and quite like them. Lets see what they are like in a wet Tokai this weekend... If/when I get another set, I would probably get a 2.4" front and a 2.2" rear. They are not particularly wide. Dont forget this new SAD500 story when you order online. Add a few hundred Rand to the cost of your order for the clearing agent.splat2009-04-24 01:03:32
  7. I think he means that you gotta ask the right people the right questions and not fire vague questions out into the open.
  8. Astana, you would possibly get some better insight if you compared your current frame to your new one's geometry. You have had a set-up done already, so you know the range you should be in.
  9. As toit as you want? Use the adjustable straps...
  10. Dr Swart should be able to help with an answer this question seeing as he did your set-up...
  11. A mate's CRC order was shelved this morning with this comment: you need to do Formal Clearance on a SAD 500 with SARS through a Clearing Agent as the value of the parcel exceeds R500.00. This is going to make CRC shopping a little less fun!
  12. Is this the same footage that will be on the DVD's?
  13. About 2:30 on a Sunday with Jonny Koen. Almost always forget to catch it and its usually only about 20 minutes - pity as I always enjoy it.
  14. I cant seem to find a description of the bus lane vs cycle lane. Share and share alike...

  16. A mate's shock was 'stuck down' and serviced by Fox. Covered by warranty = mahala = Otherwise about R400.00splat2009-04-21 01:09:05

  18. What about disc brakes? 'They' also say that storing bikes upright causes airbubbles in the system. Myth? Or Busted?
  19. Hmmm. This should kick up a bit of a fuss among the online shoppers. R500.00 per year from overseas is nothing! What a silly law!
  20. Is this what you are selling your Anthem frame for? Very nice looking machine, by the way!splat2009-04-20 04:58:38

  22. For similar components, the Trek will be quite a bit more expensive - but you knew that already... Anthem (X) has always been popular and got great reviews. The bike mags all love the Trek as well. I imagine there are more Anthems out there because of thier value for money. Try and ride before you buy - feel it for yourself and make your mind up yourself rather than based on other people's opions. I doubt there are too many people who have ridden both and can give you a proper comparison. Most just reccomend what they ride. Having said that, I am loving my Anthem X1...
