  1. Seeing as you are in Cape Town, pop down to Cycle Traders (Avron) and see what he has there. Scan Gumtree as well I was also going to suggest Anthem, but I have one, so am biased.
  2. What is your email address so I can send my CRC wishlist?

  8. Looks interesting. How about an in-focus shot of the new bike. Love the white rims.
  9. Its a mind set I dont fully understand. light tyres mean light bike etc, but obviously also means puncture prone. Standing on the side of the track with a flat while the race dissapears into the distance - dont they stand there and wish they had put better tyres on? It seems like its worth the risk...
  10. Thanks guys. I will be there in a few minutes... I wish!

  15. M44SE - bad news man. Hope insurance sorts you out quickly. On the Sunday morning after Sani2C, our bikes were stolen from a house in Westville. Both Giant Anthems and they were in pieces after we had cleaned them. The guys put them together and wheeled them down the road. Security guard at the corner was too sh!t scared to do anything. I thought cops were imressive. Quick to respond and come to the house and SMS the case number the next day. Good luck!
  16. USN Recover Max with a bit of extra L-Glutamin worked well for me. I haven't tried anything else, so cant compare.
  17. You should also consider warranty on the frame might be voided if you use a longer travel fork than the frame was originally designed for.

Why do you think you will get any sensible answers with all the pearls of wisdom you have thrown out lately? https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=49056&PN=1 https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=52615&KW= https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=28906&KW= https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=50133&PN=2 https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=50168&KW= splat2009-06-05 00:01:52

  21. Lets not forget the electricity price increase! That will affect the cost of pretty much everything else. There goes the savings you might make on your bond and car... (Best I have some more coffee and cheer up - Its Monday after all )
  22. Nicely Done! Enjoy riding her!
  23. More of a size than age thing I suppose. Our little terrorist had a black scooter bike from about 1. He was a bit short, but as soon as his toes could touch the ground, he was off! We got him the JD bug for his 2nd birthday, but had to flip the frame so he could reach the ground. Only recently did we flip it the right way up again. The brakes are a bit silly as their hands are too small to reach the lever and prolly not strong enough yet. Awesome little bikes!
