  1. How thick are the rails on a Fizik Gobi? How many saddles have 7mm rails? Is that the standard, or is 7 thicker than most?
  2. Its called feeding the Trolls. We shouldn't do it - but sometimes we can't help it.
  3. Head tube remains unchanged. The one degree change to front end does make a difference. I dont notice the extra few mm at the back though.
  4. Another poll? I am going to vomit in the bushes. Then I can rinse my mouth out with sock filtered river water. And have a braai with the burning bridge. And then go to a maturity group meeting sponsored by viagra.
  5. Ag, ignore him. This is his own post whore thread. Although he is also increasing his Troll status.
  6. Oh, just let it go! Puke under the Bridge
  7. Nice post GoLefty, but it's falling on deaf ears. There is a Sickness here that cant be Bust. Any sensibility is just inciting more immaturity. And that's just getting boring.
  8. Before there is wide spread panic - how may broken Thomson seatposts are there in the world vs how many have been sold?
  9. That sounds more like it! Show us a pic when you get it.
  10. Which is nice on salad...
  11. There is some AWESOME singletrack in Tokai, but mixed feelings and 15 pages of heated debate about a 3m bridge... worth checking out and making your own mind up.
  12. I think the Anthem X is a 2009 model. 07 and 08 are the 'normal' Anthem. See this thread: https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=48342
  13. Larger molecules? What kind of gas it it? I wonder if/how it reacts with Stan's? The rest of that webpage has quite a high bullsh!t factor, I think.
  14. The Anthem X is the 2009 incarnation of the Anthem from 2008 and before. The shape of the tubing is slightly different. The rear travel has gone from 3.5" to 4.0". Head angle has gone from 72 to 71 degrees and of course the shock is now vertical and not horizontal. 2008 Giant Anthem 2009 Anthem X1
  15. That would be an upgrade for the sake of it. If they work, then leave them on. You would probably not notice much difference in the way they work. I must admit that they look a lot better though. If you are dying to spend money - look at your wheels or something. Or if you are really sensible, take JB's advice.
  16. My Medium X1 weighs in at about 12.5kg. Those claimed weights are a lie - usually no pedals, tubes or oil in shocks etc. You may have to spend quite a bit to get down to the low 11's
  17. More info here: http://velonews.com/article/89271/velonews--matt-pacocha-takes-a-look-at-the-giant-anthem-x
  18. Andrew Juskaitis Leaves Journalism For Giant Marketing says: Quote:Not a crack, guys--just a reflection. There's no way we would have allowed Pacocha to shoot a cracked frame. This is Adam's generation 2 prototype which is 85% of the way to a final production frame. While we're still making small changes, what you see here a close to what you'll be able to buy later this summer. Thanks.
  19. They continued with the Anthem Advanced alongside the Anthem X range. Aimed at the top end race crowd. This carbon version looks interesting. I wonder what it will weigh and I know that it will be silly expensive!
  20. Stik with the basiks and go with XT and Mavik XM819 rims. Wanna go pimp? Do it properly and go Chris King or Industry 9 hubs and custom coloured spokes...
  21. This one was supposed to have done the Epic. http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=53771&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 splat2009-04-14 23:52:38
  22. Wow, if BTS gets so wound up and aggressive and abbrasive about one little bridge in the whole network of Tokai singletrack, I would hate to see his reaction to something important! I would say, 'get over it', but that would require building a bridge...
