  1. Willehond, in the second pic, which is the bike lane? The strip to the left of the paint, or the left of the grass?
  2. Please contact Cheryl @ 021 446 7993 for further details.
  3. I have a 2008 Anthem and would like to know what the right hanger is. Does one size fit all? Its a good idea to have one as spare.
  4. Come on, say it! You know you want to... JB, where are these items available? They make that Marmite cycling jersey look quite ordinary.splat2008-10-17 01:18:52
  5. That's gonna be a stunning machine! Building her will be fun. Riding even better! Be sure to post as-built pics! Is that Cycles Direct?

  7. Or, you could get creative and make jewelry, dresses, bouquets and even handbags out of them...
  8. thanks' date=' minty. he can be removed from his position if there is a vote of no confidence.[/quote'] And then He can be recalled to help with campaigning for you...

  10. Is this what was sort of secretly advertised and offered as a price in a famous SA magazine a few months ago? splat2008-10-08 00:51:34

Flip! That is expensive! I thought they were between R800.00 & R1000.00 I suppose that is why they arent so common/popular. Time for a group buy @ CRC!

What makes them so strong? JB is gonna question a statement like that... splat2008-10-07 00:29:01

I would suggest Mavic XM819 (Disc or V-brake option) They are strong and you won't have to do a tubeless conversion on them...
  14. I thought I was doing a great job of cleaning my muddy bike after each ride. But I was doing more damage than good 'cos I wasn't rinsing the degreaser off properly, so it chowed the new lube off. I have trashed my chain, casette and middle blade in 4 months! VERY expensive lesson!
  15. Mavic wheels are great, but the day they start with hassles, is often the beginning of their end... American Classics were at one stage, infamous for their durability. Not sure about them now. The Fulcrums look great and come from Campy heritage (for whatever that is worth). Haven't heard any bad stories from them. Don't know why they aren't more popular. Eastons seem to be getting good press lately, so keep them high up on your list... What about Reynolds wheels? Maybe more common overseas. Haven't seen too many in shops here. Custom builds will be very durable if built well, but they do lack the bling factor. Start with DT 240 hubs. I have no idea what rims to suggest apart from Mavic Open Pro's.
  16. Hey Rock They look great! Who did you get to build them in the end? Alu nipples? What spokes are those?
  17. Nice one RAD006. Pity the wheels and anodizing couldnt be blue... I got blue pulley wheels, chainring bolts, bottle cage bolts, valve caps and blue skewers. Now for the blue Hope hubs etc.
  18. Good questions! Any advice on tyre choice? Crossmarks all the way?
