  1. Classic clickbait 🤣
  2. Part of the delay in the whole process is the shipping of the products to the shop and then sending them on from there. I have ordered items and then received somebody else's package, which then needed to be collected and sent again. I have also ordered items which arrived in boxes that were crushed and damaged. The item was fine, so I couldn't be bothered to start another process with them. The couriers they use are not your usual big names, so perhaps they are cheaper (and that is probably why they are also slower) All in all, its not an awesome process compared to many other online stores where your item often arrives the next day with no admin or drama. Other times, its worth the wait because the price is that good. But not always...
  3. Does it blow air fast enough to seat a tubeless tyre ?
  4. A tiger ? In Africa ?
  5. I see that there was a fire there on Monday night. We rode past on Tuesday morning and could still smell the smoke while the firefighters were sitting on the railing having some breakfast and enjoying that exact view. Glad they got it under control!
  6. I cant comment on its accuracy, but it appears to be the best value for money as it includes the bits. Most of the others don't. The Teng Tool one felt pretty good and I know that you can have it serviced and calibrated (with certificate) on Voortrekker Rd in Goodwood. I now have the Park Tool ones and am not sure if that was a good move... (does anybody know if / how / where they can be checked and calibrated ?

Maybe they were waiting for the jerseys to be printed!
  8. I am not training for anything in particular and really enjoy my 'junk miles'. I did feel a sense of achievement at the end of last year having ridden more than any other year. With that came a lot of rides with my wife and friends having coffee, touring the countryside and the odd race here and there. As stated before: 'What a marvellously random (and useless) fun fact'. I hope that you don't feel threatened by anyone else's number...

This seems like the worst kept secret https://road.cc/content/news/cav-spotted-astana-qazaqstan-alicante-airport-298623
  10. This website is full of those sort of videos in the UK. https://road.cc/tags/road-rage 2 of the more memorable incidents. Fairly typical behaviour it seems... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PFRdEUN240
  11. What a marvellously random fun fact
  12. 2.0m fence ? Wow. OK. I can imagine the farmer standing with his hands in the air asking 'What do you want me to do ? ' My wife's father was a sheep farmer and stock theft is a terrible problem. Good luck with your training and future Q.O.M's
  13. All these anecdotes are fun, but I will be the Karen for a second. How or why are these potentially dangerous dogs out on the loose ? Has anyone approached this particular farmer to ask him to control his animals? Or does this road run through his farm and anyone on it is fair game ?
  14. Let us know what you think of that combo.

  16. I also like European TV shows after all the American stuff. It's got a different rhythm and style.
  17. If you don't go the suggested Vittoria combo, perhaps look at a Bonty XR4 front and XR3 rear. I found the Barzo and Mezcal a bit 'light' so went for a pair of 2.35" Agarro's. They feel a bit tougher.
  18. Seems right for double black DH runs, but possibly overkill for someone who does the 'occasional Vasbyt less extreme Snake Trails'.
  19. I second @Mansoor suggestion Otherwise, you could try The Gear Change in Mowbray for a service and setup (one stop shop)
  20. 31.8mm is an unusual seatpost diameter. What bike do you have ? This may be of no use to you... https://evobikes.co.za/product/mr-control-s-post-shim-27-2-31-6mm-sleeve/
  21. Also in italics: Would the wheel circumference on other brands of ebikes be any different ? 🤡
  22. In line with what Nico suggests, what are your current tyres and what do you think of them ? Why not get the same, or are you looking for something different ? Are they not grippy enough or do you find them heavy WRT to rolling resistance ? Not sure what stock levels are like at the moment, but your choices might be limited to what the shop actually has on the shelves. You could pop in at The Gear Change and The Uitsig Bike Park to pick their local knowledge brains.
  23. Some posts in this thread : It has evolved slightly since the 1st build pics, but its pretty dialled now. Love the bike!
  24. It's brilliant! (Actually got it from @Prince Albert Cycles 😎 ) It takes the sting out of the hard knocks and don't I notice any unnecessary flex otherwise. The 'compression dive' that many people expect isn't really an issue as the range of motion is really quite small. They are not light, nor are they cheap. BMC bikes are now incorporating a version of them on some of their bikes I need to get one for my Wife's bike as well. https://redshiftsports.com/products/shockstop-suspension-stem https://bikerumor.com/bmc-ics-mtt-suspension-stem-by-redshift/
