  1. It's seems like its generally acceptable to bend the rules a bit, but don't take the piss. For example: driving 80km/h in a 60 zone, is common practice, but 120 is crazy stupid! Not sure if I needed to use a specific font for that...
  2. Jackie or Donna ?
  3. Enve must be relieved to have separated from them
  4. Please could you post/publish it anyway ?
  5. I heard some guys saying that they only wash their hands before they pee
  6. CWC shipping bikes ? That's awesome I assume that its directly to you and not to the shop for set-up and collection ? I have a bike on order and the shop is waiting for distributor to spring into action - nothing can happen until the flag drops they say. It doesn't help that the shop is operating 'by appointment only' and 'for emergency repairs and spares only'. Very frustrating!
  7. Now that winter clothing is allowed, Ciovita is selling more than just face masks. In fact, pretty much everything is marked as 'winter'. even their sports bag ! https://ciovita.co.za/collections/winter-essentials
  8. Emergency Service and Repairs, but not new bikes and components/accessories ? or can you sell whatever you have on the floor ? I understand that distributors are still shut down, so stock must be an issue
  9. I read these reviews: Season 2: "Despite impressive performances and attractive cinematography, Bloodline's second season fails to recapture its predecessor's dramatic intrigue." Season 3: "Muddled and unsatisfying, Bloodline's final season offers disappointing proof that a stellar cast can only carry a series for so long." That helps me make up my mind to not attempt season 3. True Detective followed a similar trend and proves that when the first season is brilliant, its very hard to follow on with anything worthwhile. The rest are just dragging out the story for the sake of it (because money). I get irritated when I find myself watching the sequels hoping for it to get better or rise to the standard of the original
  10. Number: 615 - Joined in Feb 2006 There have been some notable moments over the years Some of my memories are a bit vague, but these characters and incidents are floating around my head: BigH was always entertaining (not always in a good way). His dislike of Campagnolo was There was a mechanic & wheel builder who also often caused a stir - moved overseas and closed his account here. I remember a cycling club (Edit: TCS) in Joberg that got a whole lot of stick about something and a whole lot of people left The Hub. I cant remember what it was about. There was a divorce that got a bit messy and public. She has moved on and lives in Monaco now. Evan's legend lives on - how did he get famous? He sent used instead of new tyres or something. (and he loved to post selfies in the lift)
  11. Agreed I don't think I watched Season 3 because of that
  12. I watched Episode 4 last night Quite trippy? Bit of an understatement ! Sidenote: I was going to describe the film 'Annihilation' as trippy on the other thread, but that didn't quite cover it. Coincidentally, 'Lily' (Sonoya Mizuno) also appears in the film. Edit: A bit more time on Wiki and the dots are starting to connect: Devs, Ex Machina and Anihilation are all written by Alex Garland. And they all have Sonoya Mizuno in them too.
  13. I know of several shops doing 'by appointment only' repairs focused more on the commuters and for limited hours. But interestingly, I just got an email from a well known brand/chain saying that they are 'are officially open for trading'. Even though its on email (making it public) - I am not naming the shop on a public forum, because I am not sure If they followed any legal routes to do so.
  14. I got this from your Facebook page - Can we choose from here? I am happy to do the order and guys come and collect from me - please PM me your requirements.
  15. A pretty random request by the EFF, but I would support it if they expanded this to bike shops https://www.iol.co.za/news/politics/eff-calls-for-lockdown-regulations-to-allow-for-sale-of-gym-equipment-47557844
  16. The Distandem. A bicycle built for two in these strange times. Following Covid guidelines on spacing. https://www.instagram.com/p/B_nXIq0l2N0/
  17. Awesome Keep us posted
  18. Envy and Jealousy bring out the worst in some people. For other people, its drinking brandy... But, I am interested to know where Maap fits in compared to Rapha and Assos. Is it like German car manufacturer preference or like groupset hierarchy ?
  19. Jealous! Looking forward to getting another bag of that good stuff down here in CT
