  1. Watching it tonight. Cannot wait!
  2. Running alone around the block in your quiet neighbourhood is different to running alone with a Brazilian other people doing the same thing on the Sea Point promenade. Brace yourself.
  3. I went in with no expectations, so wasn't disappointing and quite enjoyed it. Agree with you on Hugh Grant - he was great!
  4. This looks like fun! Embark on the VW Golf GTI Clubsport S, for a lap of the north loop of the Nürburgring behind a Porsche Cayman GT4, then a 991 GT3. Test conditions: 100% original car with optional Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, ESP anti-slip disconnected
  5. We are all gagging to get out there again - and for the bike shops to open! (I have an insurance payout that needs spending) There is still that risk of an injury that requires hospitalisation - you don't wanna go there. I had an over the bonnet scare on the day before lock down, and that was when there were only a few hundred cases...
  6. I think Easybike/EasyGIS were the official GPS supplier and consultant to Sani2C and a few of those races when they went 'self navigated' a few years ago. Totally legit and good guys to deal with.
  7. I don't remember any gratuitous topless scenes, but ja, when he flips to beast mode he is quite something!
  8. Isn't that you current bike ? Post a pic to remind us
  9. Oh Crikey. Yes, pretty much anything from Baum. I know very little about their bikes, but with those paint jobs they can ride like a penny farthing for all I care
  10. https://www.specialized.com/za/en/store-finder
  11. Tell us about it when you are done
  12. Another world-killer virus story with quite a twist at the end. But I found myself irritated by the last show not concluding, but setting up for Season 2 - which is AGES away as filming was stopped by The Plague. Stunning scenery though. I was quite amused by how neat and tidy everything was (hair, clothes, villages etc). That, and how prevalent plastic was in their future world. Everything else had corroded and rotted away, but plastic bottles had lasted decades (clearly a poke at our current rate of pollution).
  13. Bullet point review: This was an interesting series - slow moving, yet action packed at the same time. It's a bit like Narcos in that it studies each of the bigger cogs in the drug machine, but not in the same documentary format. Some big characters with lots of time spent developing them but at the end you don't really know much about them at a personal level. Some scenes are pretty brutal - the drug trade is not for sissies. The split between 3 countries and languages (with sub titles) means that you have to concentrate as the story unfolds separately, but at the same time. Not sure how I would rate it - I enjoyed it and glad I watched it, but would be hesitant in recommending it because it's not for everyone.
  14. Can you do anything exciting with Continental GP5000 28mm tyres ? https://www.cyclelab.com/product/continetal-grand-prix-5000-28mm-road-tyre Say R750.00 ?
  15. The wishing well thread is Low Baller's heaven All the one post wonders have come out of the woodwork. I suppose it was actually invited and is being well handled. And if you don't ask, you don't get. At worst, you get no reply.
  16. Classified is getting busy again. I don't know if its in preparation (and hope) of the lock down being lifted next week, or just trying to get some cash flow.
  17. This thread is low baller's paradise!
  18. Day 12 and I am still figuring this Rouvy thing out. I have a dumb trainer and no power meter, so can only connect with Cadence and Speed and can't get the calibration right (need to try harder). I have had more joy from following spin class type videos on GCN Watching Rapha videos and just cruising at a certain cadence or heart rate is also OK for me.
  19. Now the challenge is to see how many times you can go around that circle
  20. Stick with Breaking Bad. Some episodes are really slow with seemingly nothing happening, but they help build the whole story. Other episodes are also uncomfortable to watch - also important to the overall story line. They also make the exciting episodes that much better - like 'what did I just watch ?'
  21. Bike24.com is quite fun for playing this game or Wrenchscience.com or even https://www.competitivecyclist.com/ I was playing around a Tallboy 4 build with Zipp 3Zero Moto wheels & Goodyear tyres Pike Ultimate Fork (130mm) AXS groupset & dropper post Fabric saddle G2 RSC brakes Truvativ bar & stem If you really get carried away, you can do themes like Shimano/Fox or Sram only. Or mix & match with Hope/Thomson etc. There are some nice ideas on https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfjzrJwlvxumk0oMWNx7fXQ
  22. Ja, I was shown a picture of me in the same compromising situation - not pretty
  23. My last ride was Kirstenbosch and Cork Trees
